Reviewed By CathyDArizonaDesk manager was pleasant, friendly & helpful. Check in was a breeze. Our room was excellent. Our King bed was oh so comfy. Fridge was a nice size and had a little freezer. Having a table and 2 chairs was an added bonus. Loved the small upholstered bench that matched the design on the chairs. There were double blinds on the front window. Bathroom looked brand new too. Nice tile floor too. They had shampoo & bath gel in tub on the wall. Good lighting and a fan. The windows were also brand new. They are in the process of putting up new siding. They have a pool and hot tub but we didn't get a chance to use it. Lived the grassy area in the middle. They had picnic tables? Benches, propane BBQ and even a Cornhole game. Plus there was a bench outside each room. Laundry room was clean and machines were reasonably priced. Office had change too. Ice machine & vending were in the same place as laundry. Great value and nice place right in town but still quiet.

Reviewed By Joanie881The Colonial was a great deal and great location. Esp. if you're in No. Conway when it's crowded and you can avoid that traffic jam that always happens on the main drag. The room was clean and big, always good to have a fridge, bathroom was also clean and big with good products and ok towels. We did have quite the issue with the shower. If you took a 5 min shower, you were okay. Otherwise, the hot and cold water went nuts fluctuating. We reported that to the owner who I assume was going to take care of it. Being a motel, you do have the chance of loud people next to you or smoking outside which is a drag but that's expected.

Reviewed By birdmargA wonderful place to stop for an overnight to break up a long broad trip. The room was clean and very accessible. The free breakfast was lovely - plenty of options for all tastes. The only suggestion we have is to use less scented air freshener in the rooms.

The sink was half filled with water when I went to use it and the drain cover was inoperable. It remained filled with water during my stay. The minuscule toilet seat (I am 6'2" and weight 181 lbs) was virtually unusable for an average size adult; in addition, the seat would not stay up. The walls were very thin and when another customer banged against it from his room, the headboard of my bed on which I was sitting slammed into the back of my head. My room faced the parking lot and since the heavy curtains did not close all the way, my room was lit throughout the night. The two young women on the desk were overwhelmed with guests checking in. On checkout, I asked for a refund and was given a 20 percent discount.

Arrival: key card said room 120.. up and down the first floor like an idiot looking for room 120 which in the end DOESN'T EVEN EXIST! back to front desk...ooh room 129 she tells me. Drag our bags to room 129.. key doesn't work. (Must have been made for invisible room 120). Back to desk... new keys they work. Drop bags an leave. 8:00pm return.. people sitting in pickup in parking lot at 430pm still there.. smoke rolling out windows. (I got a contact high from 50 feet away) We sit on bed and eat our ice cream... go to put remaining ice cream in freezer.. there is a can of ready whip and a container of food already in there. Sticky mess on the night stand. Piss around the base of the toilet Dried white globs of toothpaste in front of sink Change rooms. No hand towels and no hairdryer.

The School House Inn gets its name from the historic main building that served as one of the original elementary schools in North Conway, circa 1890-1923. Two large additions and five cottages were built in 1964 and the property was transformed into the School House Inn. After nearly six decades in business, the School House Inn is one of the oldest running motels in North Conway, and an area landmark along White Mountain Highway. We are conveniently located in the center of North Conway, 1 mile south of North Conway Village and 1 mile north of Settler's green. We are in walking distance or a short drive to many great restaurants, and only a short drive to all the attractions that the Mount Washington Valley has to offer. A nice place to stay

It is located squarely in the middle of North Conway and is close to all the attraction. The room was clean, and small but comfortable. The staff was overly friendly and attentive and made my stay a pleasure.

Friendly check-in.... room was satisfactory, clean, comfortable and warm. I was in one of the 400's rooms. I was a bit worried after having read some of the reviews here .... I had a great stay and would do it again. The outdoor pool and hot tub are incredible. As are the views. It snowed for a few minutes while we were in the pool! Perfection ❄️ Also ... dress warm for the area in general. It's extremely cold in February!

The room is warm and very clean, the bed is very comfortable, the fridge quite big, the bathroom has a nice bathtub and the water is really hot, it is wonderful to shower after having been out in the cold for a while. Housekeeping is great as well, every day we found our clean towels arranged in a different figurine on our bed! Nice surprise! First time we see that. Besides, the location is perfect, right off I-93, close to Franconia Notch State Park. There are many beautiful walks accessible from motel, no need to drive to Georgiana Falls, for example. Beautiful and interesting walk even in winter! We loved our stay there!

It can be a little tricky with traffic, but once you find the back entrance near the bed bath and beyond store, it is really easy. I didn’t hear a peep all night. Very clean and neat.
