Scandic Narvik is the city's most modern hotel. The hotel is one of the tallest buildings in northern Norway and has an exciting exterior of sloping glass supported by two towers. Our sky bar, Totta Bar on the 16th floor has a panoramic view over Narvik and Ofotfjorden and our Tind restaurant, which is one of the top restaurant in Narvik, serves breakfast and an exclusive dinner menu. With 8 meeting rooms, the largest of which can accommodate up to 175 participants, our hotel is great for business travelers. Parking is available just next door for guests arriving by car. Reviewed By 325bernhardrWe stayed one night after a long drive. Nice and comfortable room with view on the city. Nice dinner and excellent breakfast selection. Very friendly staff, in rception and restaurant / breakfast. We recommend.

Very clean rooms and good location
Reviewed By greenteatownThe hotel is basic corporate hotel: perfectly fine for a conference or an overnight stay, interior is still in the 1990’s and early 2000’s but it is very clean, the bathroom was spotless. The rooms are clean, the carpets could do with changing as they are old, and the windows need a clean, but the hotel is warm, and the staff are friendly. The breakfast is also excellent actually, they do that really well. We chose this for 2 days of skiing as it’s literally next to the lifts making a perfect location. Narvik itself is nothing special, so we preferred being here near the slopes than down by the Main Street. Thon: please refurbish your hotel. It’s a bit lacking in personality.

Comfortable hotel, friendly staff
Reviewed By shamatThis hotel offers basic, comfortable accomodation at a reasonable price. The beds are comfortable, it is spotlessly clean and the staff are friendly and helpful, particularly the lady who works on reception in the afternoons and evenings who made us feel so welcome. There is an added bonus of being able to help yourself to tea, coffee and cake in reception at all times of day and night. The breakfast offer is simple and the same each day (cold meats, cheese, pate, bread, omelette, potato/sausage mix and scrambled egg) which was adequate. (It would have been nice if the scrambled eggs were warm!). There was no hairdryer in the room but it was easy to borrow one from reception. The hotel is well-located, opposite the information centre and Narvik War Museum and there were plenty of restaurants nearby.

Breidablikk Guesthouse is a small private own hotel in the heart of Narvik centrum. Just a few minutes walk from train and bus station. In summer, breakfast can be enjoyed on our terrace and in winter the northen light. There is a wonderful view over Narvik , the mountains and the fiord both from the from the guestrooms and the breakfast/living room. Breakfastbuffet is included.

Reviewed By unordinary_travellerI actually enjoyed my stay, until they charged me three times then ended up costing my money in the refund process and not making good on their word to compensate for it. So unfortunately for what was not a big amount of money I can only rate poor due to dishonesty in communication. Sometimes it’s just the principle.

Central hotel, but…
Reviewed By Pål KVery helpful and welcoming staff at the check in. Efficient and a pleasant experience. The one thing letting this hotel down is the beds. Worn out, and softer than butter makes no good night sleep. I am 180cm and 85 kg and had the worst night due to a bed that should have been changed many years ago. Parking is available in the shopping centre across the street, and was ok. Breakfast as most hotels in Norway.

Very basic
Reviewed By WallyontravelThey say it is a student hostel that during summer months is used as an accommodation for tourists, I'm not really sure about that. The place is really basic, there is no reception, nobody at the entrance, no staff at all, except from time to time the cleaning ladies of the nearby Thon hotel. When I did visit it "all" the doors of the rooms brought signs of break-ins, some were consequently reinforced at the lock. The window of my room was broken and it did not close properly, luckily I was not at the ground floor. The rooms are not clean and the furnitures and everything is really basic, but they are spacious and the bathroom is clean. The reception where to check in is the one at the Thon, also breakfast is served at the Thon, it was not terrible in the end but for 85 €/night there probably are better solutions

Great concept, terrible execution
Reviewed By honeymoon11The location is fantastic. Easy access to the slopes and the town. You do need to have a car though. The cabins have a wonderful view and feel modern and new. However, there is very limited space inside. There is nowhere to store your suitcases or luggage, nowhere to dry ski boots or store skis. There is nowhere to even hang a towel. The shower is in the same room as the toilet, which is also the hallway which connects to the 2nd bedroom. If you shower, the toilet area gets wet and if someone is in the bathroom, noone can enter or exit the 2nd bedroom. It's a really odd set up. The 2nd bedroom has a skylight - which is a bit ridiculous when some parts of the year the sun rises at 4am and doesnt set until after 10pm. I can't even begin to imagine how it is in the summer in the 2nd bedroom when there is midnight sun. We came in a group of 10 and took 5 cabins. There is no common area that we can be social together after a day of skiing. We have to separate and cook in 2 groups. There is a lodge but for some reason it's not open to use. It would be fantastic if they offered breakfast at least in this lodge, especially for the price of the room. We have spend 4 nights here. We have not met 1 member of staff from the lodge. And there is no room servicing. There is a little dustpan to clean the floor yourself. There is no rubbish collection, no towel changing, nothing. It's quite disappointing, especially for the price. The bedrooms are extremely small, there is no bedside table or even space for one. But, the beds are super comfortable!! Its a nice idea and a good place to come and spend a night or two, but more than that, it's not ideal.
