Reviewed By kd31_28After the initial problem of trying to get someone to answer the door, the rest of the stay was a treat. The breakfast was superb, set up on a huge breakfast table so just sit and help yourself. Unfortunately it was too late/ cold to use the hot tub and sauna when we arrived but the setting looked lovely. Our bedroom was not on-suite but that was no issue as it was just across corridor. It was huge and beautifully kitted out. After a lovely meal we came back and had a game of pool downstairs. Would go back but for two days just to use the outside faciliites.

Reviewed By JulienCostesThis is a very warm hotel, just near the Station of Super Lioran. Good level of service, with a room to leave our (wet) materials after skying . Bedrooms are clean with enough space, ideal for families like us . We go there every year and Patricia is very kind and helpful ! Feel free to contact her directly for any question of for reservation. Just note that restaurants in the area are often fully booked so anticipate and book for your meal in advance to avoid taking the car for diner. i recommend this hotel.

Delightful Experience
Reviewed By Rick TThis is a wonderful, quaint B & B run by two delightful hosts. The location is right in the very center of town next to the church. The building is very ancient and nicely restored and updated by the genial hosts. The breakfast they serve is the best we had during our travels highlighted by superb coffee. Cozy and intimate. Highly recommended if you choose to visit the gorgeous town of Murat.

Good size rooms, very friendly proprietor and staff
Reviewed By segleaWe stayed here for a couple of nights, at the beginning and end of a hiking holiday in the Volcans de Cantal. It's a handy location, close to the main road and railway station but on the way up to the main sites, cafes and shops in the town. Our room was large, gracious and comfortable, and the proprietor and staff were friendliness itself, offering us useful information, genuinely interested in our plans, and patient with our slow French (though they have enough English to cope if you don't speak any French). The restaurant meals were fine for a couple of nights, with some local specialities, though the table d'hôte menu is quite short so if you were staying more than a night or two you'd probably want to explore other possibilities for eating - there are a number in Murat or nearby. We did suffer very badly from mosquito bites here; no doubt nothing to do with the hotel, but with the neighbourhood, but anyway, take an effective repellent.

The bed and breakfast, mas du cresponnet, is located near to the little village of murat, in cantal department. Close by, you can spend a day to the lioran ski resort or hiking at the top of puy mary volcano. In their family sweet home, a traditional old farm surrounded by nature, alexandre et severine have renovated 2 spacious rooms where guests can stay for a night or a longer journey.

Reviewed By Mal HThis B&B is located about 3km to the south west of Murat off the D39 at Cresponnet and provides a panoramic view back over Murat. Our hosts, Severine and Alexandre were warm and hospitable and although we had not pre-arranged dinner, Severine asked us to share dinner with them. This included aperitif, plate, wine, cheese and desert and was typical local cuisine at a very reasonable 25 euro each. The building has a modern fit-out with good sized rooms including shower and spa bath. Wifi was adequate but best used in the common room. Parking is adjacent to the building and there is a pleasant walk to the nearby village. Although only recently opened, we wish Severine and Alexandre every success. Strongly recommended.

Reviewed By DallagranaWorks very well, we are free to use everything, the Castor is close to the city center, easy access to the main road, supermarket just 10 minutes walking, bakery 3 minutes walking , 9km to Lioran sup ski center, Castor is a quiet place!!!

Reviewed By stevencD1013CVDisappointed with the poor customer service and incompetent billing process which led to subsequent contact from Christine claiming we hadn't paid for a meal and one of three rooms ! The staff really need to be properly trained. Whilst understanding the difficulties post Covid the proprietor really needs to get their act together or continue receiving bad reviews.
