Received a flyer from a nice friendly chap on the street corner. Thought we would give it a try. So glad we did . Attentive friendly staff,and quick service. Drinks are great prices, and ice cold. The food choices are fantastic,and portions are enormous. Back in Salou on 19th October for a week, so will be visiting again.

First, this place only serves lunch.Second, the phone number on the FB page to which TA links isnât answered.Third, the listing in the Michelin guide has correct contact details.Fourth, actually having them doesnât help. I wrote, making a reservation, requested they e-mailed. They left a message in broad Catalan on my Spanish land line. I got a friend, who speaks fluent Spanish, to phone. She had difficulty making herself understood, so I then sent e-mail confirming date and time.Fifth, arrived. No booking. Rudely told donât accept e-mail reservations. Sixth, joined the queue.Thatâs the poor and indifferent bits.Once seated ( big room, 100 covers, all seats taken ), we were probably sitting three that lunch time, things improved.Seems to be run by 2 sisters, impolite to guess age, but not young, and grandson. Efficient, service. There is a la carte and fixed price menu ( Mon to Fri ). Bread, tomato bread, and a carafe of red and White House wine appear as if by magic.Thereâs a good range of starters and mains on the menu. I had ham with asparagus, my friend had beans with pork and black pudding. Served with mayonnaise, a honey sweetened romesco, and a green herb sauce which we couldnât identify ( my friend speaks fluent Catalan - he asked - still none the wiser ) .Mains were lamb chops and steak. Well cooked. Desert was cottage cheese and honey and creme Catalan.With water, not included in price, although wine and bread are, it came to â¬36 for 2.The food, is good, they would have queues otherwise. Food is Catalan and may not appeal to all tastes.Much is grilled on the barbecue. One proprietress was dressed in maiden aunt twin set and was very much in charge. The other had a bat wing floral top, very lose, in artificial silk. She was grilling. I became concerned she may immolate herself.Experience not to be missed.

The restaurant is located in an alleyway in old town Tarragona, easy to find with Apple/Google maps :)Friendly and efficient service, itâs quite small and intimate inside. Food is reasonably priced and prepared lovingly: we shared a starter of house croquetas (different to traditional, they were round and more crunchy than normal) which were really nice and plentiful. I ordered the filo-burger, as apparently they specialize in burgers. It was good, Iâve had better. My wife ordered the octopus and it was phenomenal: tender and juicy, came with potatoes, peppers and tomatoes, plus a green avocado aioli. Beautifully presented and really yummy. We didnât have dessert.Well worth a try overall.

Excellent food large portions lovely ambience indoor outdoor seating clean toilets and baby facilities. Very reasonable prices and would recomeend . Only issue we had was there was only 2 staff on and it got busy so we waited 25 mins for ice cream for the kids . Had to ask twice . Didn't leave a tip for this reason as we felt peeved with the answer we got from the waiter or owner. When we hear the bells rings it'll be ready..ermmm right ok . No tip then. Apart from that it was exc. No biggy. Just off the main street up side road

Fantastic meals and hospitality.contacted them on arrival and asked to book table for birthday celebration, they couldn't do enough to help, thanks to all the staff. We returned another night and again it was excellent!!Would highly recommend

This place is amazing the food is fantastic and the staff are friendly it is one place you won't leave hungry there were seven of us and all had something different and everyone loved it i would recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a great place to eat you won't be disappointed.
