This is the newest Colombian restaurant in Margate. It is a quant, very nicely decorated establishment that is specific to the regional Columbian cuisine. The staff is very friendly and answers all your questions, service is top notch and the food is great. We went for a late lunch and had the:~ La Paisita ~ Arepa de maiz Blanco con Queso Maozzarella, Frijoles, Ahogado, Chicharon y Chorizo (White Arepa with Mozzarella Cheese, Beans, Fried Pork and Colombian Suage) ~ what a hearty and flavorful meal for $6.00~ The Aphrodisiac (La Afrodisiaca) ~ Topped with Mozzarella Cheese & Shrimp in Pink Sauce (Arepa de Maiz Blanco con Queso Mozzarella y Camarones en Salsa Rosada) ~ a lot of shrimp and maybe to much sauce for $6.00We got all our dishes with their "Corn Cakes" which make a world of difference and provides that great substance needed to soak up all the juices that you want to eat. They have thee large screen TV's so you can watch the 2014 World Cup, have an ice cold beer and just chill. Either at a table or at the barAlso, check out there breakfast menu (8:00am) for a very traditional Latin American meals.Definitely a nice place to go and try...Cheers!

This is one of those places that you would drive by and not even give a second glance to. We happened to discover it at the Taste of Oakland Park and decided to come and check it out.The restaurant is a stand-alone building that is non descript. The interior is small, but the staff is very warm and friendly. This restaurant specializes in Mexican and Salvadoran foods. We started our meal with Horchata, which is a blend of rice milk and cinnamon and our first time ever having it. It was YUMMY and comes in a huge glass. Each table is served chips, which were warm and crispy, and a homemade salsa. The salsa was very good. Not too spicy, but has a slight kick. For starters we tried the Sweet Corn Tamales (it was like eating a dessert!) and a bean Pupusa, which is a traditional Salvadoran corn tortilla stuffed with items of your choice. It comes with this wonderful sauce and cabbage mix to be placed on top. It wasn't greasy at all and I would definitely recommend to try it. For the main entries we had the Grilled Chicken Breast that is topped with grilled peppers and onions. The chicken is wonderfully seasoned and I like the fact that it is grilled. It is accompanied with black beans (AMAZING FLAVOR) and a rice that has some mixed vegetables in it. Delicious! The other dish we tried was the Salvadoran Steak in Red Sauce, which is sauteed with onions, peppers, and tomatoes. Highly Recommended! The sauce almost tastes like an Italian tomato sauce and goes well with everything. I even liked it on my chicken. The steak was perfectly cooked as well. This, too, is accompanied with black beans and rice plus fried plantains. Definitely a Winning Dish!Portions are large and we, unfortunately, had no room for dessert. I would DEFINITELY RECOMMEND coming to check it out. Don't be fooled by looks on the outside, as inside, is definitely a treat for your taste buds!PS - If this review was useful, please click the HELPFUL button on your phone or you can click the THANK YOU button on your computer. stopped there just to try it near home - ordered the $4.95 1/4 chicken rice beans lunch added the fried yucca - total was $8.75 - chicken was ok skin had nice crisp the interior meat was not that flavorful, but the rice and beans were plentiful and the rice was moist and beans had very good flavor - the fried yucca nice portion well done - went well with the green semi spicy sauce and the onions in a clear juice went well with the rice - would definitely do the rice, beans yucca again - for me this is a great find and the place was clean, $ friendly and the staff was extremely helpful in answering questions about some items I had never seen before -

We been to Latin Cafe about 5 times. The first thing, if you ask for cafe con leche they will give you a little plastic stirrer. Really? like it was to go. You just don't serve cafe con leche at a table with a stirrer. Needed to ask for a real spoon each time. They don't know how to make a ham & cheese omelette, you don't slap two slices of cheese on top and call it. Am hopping it will improve and its the little things that make it good. (Management says it has resolved the spoon with cafe con leche issue), will see on the next visit. .

La Bamba Mexican and Spanish Restaurant

Serving you since 1988, La Bamba is a family owned and operated Mexican and Spanish Restaurant. With five locations.Offering Lunch Specials, Happy Hour Specials and the best Margaritas in town.

Reviewed By IllyCoffeeDrinkers

La Bamba II Mexican and Spanish Restaurant serves good Mexican food with lunch specials under $10.00. The restaurant is located in strip mall, and has classic Mexican restaurant décor with high tables, regular tables, booths and a bar. One of us and family members had a late lunch here on a Monday around 1:30 PM. We were seated and provided drinks quickly. Our server was friendly and helpful. One of our family members is a local and has been coming here for many years. The chips and salsa were very good. They furnish two kinds of salsa and the hot salsa has a bit of a kick (always appreciated). Among the lunch specials we ordered were a Beef Taco with Rice and Beans, and a Cheese Quesadilla (photos are attached). The portions were very large and the meals were both tasty. Coming from the Southwest, we are spoiled when it comes to imaginative Mexican cooking hence our 4 out of 5 rating for this establishment – very good but not excellent. The restaurant was quiet after the main lunch hour so we had no problems conversing. We also had nice seats by a large window and appreciated the sunlight. Bottom line, if you are looking for a good affordable Mexican meal in Margate, La Bamba is worth a try. La Granja Parrilla

Before you will think to go to a fast food restaurant with burguers, think about this very good option; at La Granja Parrilla you will find real food at fast food prices, maybe this is their winning secret. This peruvian restaurant has adapted the original dishes to the Floridian-caribbean, market, the original Pollo a la Braza is served with french fries and salad, it has been adapted to this market with white rice and black beans, that also is not bad, is very acceptable even is not the original recipy. The restaurant offers free spicy sauces and onions sauces. Is not the best, but this place offers good fresh food at very low price. They offer the most popular peruvian food as lomos saltados, seafood and more.
