Visited on a Friday night with four other couples. The food is excellent, the service good, the prices fair. But the noise! We would love to go back because of the quality of the food but probably wonât because of the noise level. That might have been because of it being a Friday night, but we wonât experiment. And the tables are so close together, we had a hard time getting up to leave. What a shame!Too many good places to eat in Northern Virginia where one can talk to friends during dinner to have to put up with the over-crowding and an inability to have a somewhat normal conversation.Hello Fred, my name is Arthur and I am the general manager of this location. The atmosphere, the smells - close your eyes and you could be in a small eatery in El Salvador. This quaint little place is a gem in Herndon. The menu is extremely large and varied - fish soup, pupusas, tacos, carne asada, arroz con pollo....and you can even get a Coke with real sugar!The only negative is the place only seats about 16 people so you have to come early for lunch or time it just right. Bring your friends here for the first time and they will all be pleasantly surprised.

A number of Peruvian chicken establishments are popping up around the area and many of the locals are familiar with Waku Chicken. The chicken here is very good with crispy skin and moist meat. There are a number of side dishes to choose from, and the portions are very generous.I ordered the 1/4 dark roasted chicken with green beans and plantains. Absolutely delicious. I think this meal cost me around $7-8 and was very filling and satisfying. There are other menu items to choose from as well and I definitely intend to return and get adventurous.
