Lovely setting with very friendly staff. We had a great selection of tapas to start with. Paella was ordered in our group and they loved it. We had the Zarzuela...seafood casserole with potatoes. Wow...it was delicious, fresh and huge. Washed down with a great selection of beers and sangria. Desserts were from a variety dishes on offer. The cafe liégois was delicious although a little too sweet for my taste.

An unassuming little cafe where we stopped on a busy Saturday in Ax-les-Thermes. But what gorgeous paëlla specialties. We both took the menu, a paëlla/rice course with ice cream for dessert for â¬9,90! I had risotto with chicken and my husband had paëlla Valencia with chicken . We were so full we didn't didnt take dessert. Very friendly. Definitely a very local place. Will stop there again.

The place to go to taste local cheeses and beer, and great catalans hams and sausages.The value for money is very high, difficult to find better in the Ax les thermes valleys.
