Recently six of us enjoyed a lovely evening meal at Casa Benito. After a selection of starters we opted for a rice dish with meat and a seafood rice dish (black with squid ink) to serve the six of us. Both were very tasty and plentiful. The waitress was extremely helpful in our decision making and the food was washed down with some lovely Spanish wines. At the end of the meal, there were no taxis available in the sleepy village and the owner kindly made two trips with us back to Retamares golf club.

We went here at the 27th of december 2014 on advice of someone who lives in the village. He specifically advised the "conejo al ajillo": rabbit in garlicsauce. This was a great main dish, provided that you are not horrified by some recognizable body parts in your steelpan.The staff was very friendly, attentive ánd gave good suggestions for wine and the dessert. Even the olives that were given at wellcoming us were very good marinated.Although the village of Cobeña is not particularly worthwhile to visit for tourist attractions (except maybe for the church), we seriously consider returning there just to revisit this restaurant!

So homey, so friendly a great place just to sup on really fine Spanish comfort foods like jamon and manchego. The gambas a la parrilla are fantastic. And to finish, their version of pacharon and orujo con hierbos are fantastic! Although 99% of readers will likely never find the place, for the 1% who do, I guarantee you'll fall in love.

This is under the Algete hotel but not part of it, great service staff get very busy at times but very efficient , the food really good we have had something different every day , the suckling pig was wonderful, also the goat and there salads and tapas ate something to look forward to , will differently be using this resturant again ...

For a â¬10.50 menu an aperitif , first and main course along with fruit for dessert water and coffee. And the food was great, fresh, tasty and in good sized portions. I have no idea how they do it and have put much much more expensive restaurants in my trip to shame. Along with that is friendly service and an air conditioned dining area. Absolutely cannot be beat, if in the area go and try it!

Enjoyed a lunch with colleagues in this very special location. It's more like the dining room of an old house than a normal restaurant. We were the only customers, so it was very cosy. A definite focus on game in the menu. We enjoyed Morcilla de Burgos (special black pudding), partridge salad, smoked sardines, wild boar steaks, and a special lasagna. The desserts were nice enough but not as special as the rest. A good find in this quaint village. Thank you ver y much!!

20mn drive from Madrid, you can find a very nice restaurant with amazing views. Lanscape is beatiful and includes golf course and several lakes. Market meditranean food with a very reasanoble price. Young service probably comning from hostelery school. Perfect for a weekend. There was a beatiful and elegant wedding. I wil be back in mine...Dear Deborah,Thanks for you time writting this letters. We have driven past here for over 1 year and visited for the first time today. Really impressed, from arrival to departure the staff were professional and responsive, recommending some excellent dishes we would not have chosen and which were superb. As a table of 3 people we each ordered something different and each dish was very well cooked and served promptly. The ingredients were good and fresh - the beef, pork & prawns superb.Wine list is good without being exceptional.Interior & exterior is traditionally Spanish. The interior is warm and inviting with an excellent collection of Atleticó de Madrid memorabilia (not Real Madrid as an earlier review commented!).
