Our children back home had contacted the restaurant to arrange a few surprises for our sixty-fifth anniversary, and the consistently friendly and efficient staff outdid themselves to make the evening special. The wine was fine, the flowers that graced the table were dazzling, and they gave us a couple of small gifts, including two macarons that reminded of of our days in Paris. They also found a box for the flowers and offered to carry them to the car after dinner.Oh, yes, lest we forget the ash(!) covered cod was spectacular.Dear lhs76;Thank you for your review and for selecting twenty-eight Atlantic for your sixty-fifth anniversary celebration. We are thrilled that you enjoyed your dining experience and that the staff made your meal extra special. Our sincere appreciation for sharing your thoughts on TripAdvisor and we hope to welcome you back again soon.Best regards,Josette C. WillisDirector of Quality Assurance

Our group of six friends met at Beacon for dinner ahead of a chamber music festival concert. We'd never been before, but we were delighted. Everything we ordered from the limited menu was wonderful, especially the sole with a light curry sauce and grapes (sensational). Though full, the dining room was quiet enough that we could hear each other with ease. Our waitress was professional and helpful. We'll no doubt come back many times.

The menu is varied and enticing; it was hard to choose, which is not often the case with me. There are many sea-food choices, but also plenty for those who prefer something else. Our server was so sweet and helpful, and our drinks and food arrived quickly. The prices are super reasonable and you get a lot of food for the money. Oh, and the Margaritas are perfect-served in a 12 oz. glass (I'm guessing, but huge). Give this place a try-you won't be disappointed. I will definitely return.

Celebrating our 30th anniversary, the historic 1840 Captain Linnell House is home to Cape Cod's most distinguished fine dining restaurant as well as an award winning Cape Cod wedding, rehearsal dinner, and corporate venue site. We are located in Orleans,
The building is a beautiful historic property with very attractive dining areas. It was not our first time here. Our waiter professional with good service. My husband chose the Prix fixe for $40.00âHis first course was the Linnell chowderâquite hearty and tasty with a hint of herbs that really made it special. His prime rib was large, tender with a pepper crust and was flavorful. My âscrodâ in parchment while quite tasty did not seem to have true Maine crabmeat. It tasted more like Langostino and was orange! Maine crabmeat is not orange! It was also a bit on the salty side. I let it go, but was surprised not to taste and see Maine crabmeat as described in the menu. Our drinks were good but definitely on the expensive side at $13 and $15.!! Clementine cake was good. Overall, a good and mostly satisfying meal but not an âAâ.

The restaurant is very popular and a number of people rave about it, but we thought it was pretty average. Itâs not the old-fashioned decor, which is actually very in keeping with the neighbourhood. Itâs the unimaginative food that is average in execution. Choices are limited and donât really feel like they r fleet very many local ingredients and itâs all quite old fashioned cooking.

We ate on the bistro side of thelis venerable establishment and were unable to find anything wrong. Everything out of the kitchen -- creamy onion soup, gazpacho, field greens salad, grilled shrimp appetizer, pasta bolognese, grilled scallops, halibut, key lime tart and mixed fruit crumble - was delicious. The chef certainly knows his/her way around the spice rack. Sauces were creamy and flavorful. Our waitress was most attentive and helpful.

Ocean Terrace. The place to begin the party or to wind down over drinks at sunset. A stunning mix of old and new, Ocean Terrace features a hip outdoor bar and dining area adjacent to the historic Nickerson Mansion, with two fire bowl lounges and breathtak
We were a party of two friends with reservations for lunch on an overcast cool, rainy day. The restaurant was close to empty. Nonetheless, we enjoyed the overcast, drizzly, cape skies and bay views. We ordered beverages while reviewing the menu and decided on clam chowder and crab cakes. The chowder arrived first and was cold, not warm but cold. We tried to signal the wait staff and could not get anyones attention. The waitress finally arrived with the crab cakes, and we informed her that the chowder was cold. Her response, "So now the crab cakes will get cold. " We told her not to worry, we'd eat them while the chowder was reheated. Unfortunately, the crab cakes were also cold, we ate them anyway. The chowder was returned and it was luke warm, cool. My friend ate it anyway. I signaled the server and informed them it was still not hot. It was returned to the kitchen a 2nd time, finally heated properly. I've been a guests at Ocean Edge for over 20 years. There's no doubt that the quality of the food and service has not kept pace with the "prestige", "pomp" and "ceremony". We received a cursory apology and a full check with indifference The tourist appeal and demand has diminished the one time elegant, excellent quality and service. I'm not returning soon.Thank you for taking the time to tell us about your recent dining experience at Ocean Terrace. I apologize for the very poor service you received. This situation could have been remedied immediately, but was not, and I will speak to our team about this. Thank you for bringing this to my attention. I hope we get the chance to welcome you back to correct this, as this is not up to our standard and you are a valued guest.Cletus PanchamHotel [email protected]

Our contemporary bistro style menu changes seasonally to reflect the freshest available fare. The Brewster Fish House Menu features New England Seafood, local produce, caviar & dry aged meats. Located directly off Historic Main Street, Route 6A, The Brews
We had an excellent meal with friends here. Our innkeepers recommended it as the best in town and they weren't wrong. I was also impressed by the well thought out wine list that was fairly priced. It's not a big place and they don't take reservations so go early or late (we went late on a Friday and were seated right away).

The Yardarm Restaurant is a small place with a big imprint. In the last decades we've prided ourselves on being the go-to meeting spot for locals in Orleans. On any given day, you'll find townsfolk like fisherman, physicians and plumbers all sharing stori
Love this place for lunch so went for dinner Thursday night Prime Rib. Two couples, our waitress came and seemed angry. I asked about a beer they had on draft and she said, "I have NO idea!, I don't drink beer!!!" OK. My friend asked about getting the prime rib rare, and she said, " We have 3 cooking", and never answered his question. Our dinners a came and the prime rib was so tough I couldn't eat mine, and the taste was terrible. Our waitress had a bad attitude, just mean. Won't ever go back at night for dinner there.Thank you for your review. I am so sorry that your group had this experience. It is not acceptable to us and has and will continue to be addressed with all our staff. Normally, I would suggest that you let your Server know if your meal is not to your liking so that we may correct it; however, it is obvious that this was not possible this particular night. I am sorry that I was not there at the time. Our primary goal is to have happy/satisfied customers so I hope that you will give us another chance by coming back in for either lunch or dinner. I hope to meet you personally.

A friendly family restaurant that serves seafood, steaks, and American fare. We also have live entertainment many nights a week, including dance music with a live band on Wednesdays and Fridays, Geno Sings Sinatra and More on Sundays, and John Morgan's Ha
Been passing this place for ten years and finally decided to try it. We were not impressed. The menu had a little of everything on it, and we tried a variety of different things. None of them were very good. The interior is dark and dated, and service was very average. There are too many good places around to go here, sorry.Sorry you were not impressed. We always wish for our customers to have a great experience, and most of them do. If you would like to contact me further about what meals you had, I would be happy to discuss any issues that came up. [email protected] Have a good summer!
