Being vegan at home in Vancouver and vegetarian on overseas holidays, we exhausted the Trip Advisor listings for these in Nante so we donned our flexitarian hats and were delighted to discover Nazca. Each of our main dishes was a marvellous medley of new and interesting flavours, deserts were scrumptious and good value and the service was personable and helpful. The chef decides the meal every day and calls it the Mystery meal. You will not know what you are getting next until it arrives in front of you. The food is beautifully composed and delicious. It was a seafood starter and entree with a pineapple panna cotta for dessert. All of it was very good and a great value. I think 19 Euros for 3 courses. Well of course I had to have a glass of Muscadet too ;)

La Belle-Iloise is a local company that produces high quality tinned fish (sardines, tuna etc) as well as soups, terrines, patés etc. This little restaurant in Nantes uses the lovely products in simply prepared but really tasty dishes. We enjoyed simple sardines with local salty butter and soft bread to start with as well as a lobster creme brulée that was really good. To continue, aubergine with sardines and lemon and a tuna lasagne were accompanied with dressed salad leaves and a great bottle of Muscadet. Service was friendly and efficient, the atmosphere relaxed and we would recommend it as a great spot for lunch.Bonjour, thank you very much for your message! Very little place few minutes from the centre of Nantes. Young staff, warm, professional and available to make you happy. This is not a typical restaurant. It has no more then 20 seats but the food is really excellent. It is not the place for a first dinner date but for the second and third absolutely yes!!!
