I visited my good friend in Kichijoji and he introduced me to Craft Beer Market. I was only in Tokyo for 5 days and I went twice because I loved this place so much. Here is why:1. I love beer.2. the staff is so nice and friendly3. I love great beer4. most of the beer they sell is Japanese craft beer and impossible to get in my hometown of Chicago5. I love great Japanese beer!The atmosphere was cool, friendly, and laid back. The service was outstanding. I didn't have much to eat there, but the french fries were very good. Next time I visit Tokyo, I will definitely return to Craft Beer Market in Kichijoji.

We enjoy jazz clubs, and this little basement spot was an unexpected pleasure. Groups vary, but the night we were there a jazz trio plus singer performed standards. It's a small place, and the worst seat is not more than 25 feet from the performers. Some seats are only 6 feet away! Service was friendly, and the owner spoke a little English. There is a cover charge, but then food and drinks are reasonable and good.We lived in Tokyo for 8 years and never knew of this place. Now, as we make return visits, I wouldn't miss it. It's a five minute walk from the station down Sun Road, a covered, lively shopping street.

I love the atmosphere of the restaurant, the interior reminds me of New York city's diner style. It is fun, spacious and creatively designed. Beer has great flavour and served chilled, spicy grilled chicken was spot on and homemade pickles are great. Price is affordable too. Recommended!
