We have been to this restaurant several times, and each time it's just okay. The weeknight specials are inexpensive ($12 and $14 choices), and varied. However, the dishes I've had lacked flavor. This past week was the worst: instead of risotto, it was a big mound of white rice with some mushrooms. The staff is very nice, but the food needs to improve.

If you love beer, they have so many different types that there will be something for you. We came here looking at the reviews here on Tripadvisor and we were NOT disappointed. The food was delicious, and the server was attentive and great. The appetizers are HUGE so be warned. We had fried pickles, buffalo wings and Poutine. They were all great and filling. The prices are reasonable. If you are looking for good Providence food, Don't hesitate to try Federal Taphouse and Kitchen.

This is right of Westminister St. in Providence. There is a lot of great craft beer and other drinks available. They also have pretzels....really good ones. That is kinda their menu however. There are pretzel bread sandwiches which are again fantastic. I would like to see a bit more expanded menu, but maybe I'm old and this is just a watering hole with pretzels lol. It was a good experience in the end. It can be loud.

Really great slider burgers - I had the bacon cheeseburg one , absolutely delicious. Moist meat fried right, crisp bacon and soft little bun, with pickle and shredded lettuce. Frys were also very good , thin crisp and hot !Funky setup , but homey and fun !

Driving from NYC to Cape Cod, we stopped at the airport in Providence to pick up family members. Since it was after 1:00, we decided to have lunch before continuing on. Located Ironworks on TA, and liked the menu. Only about 5 minutes from arrivals, the place is bright and airy - even on an overcast day. I'd say the menu has something for everyone. I can only report on two items, though. We shared the stuffies (excellent) and the lentil and cauliflower fritters (also very good). My brother-in-law and I were both drawn to the same two sandwiches, so we decided to share - the chimmichurri chicken breast and the crispy pork and broccoli raab. The chicken was underwhelming, but the pork sandwich was outstanding. Nice, friendly service and good selection of beers. I'd go back again!Thank you Paul! We are glad you stopped on your journey east and more importantly, I am happy you enjoyed. We hope you come back to the area someday and we have the opportunity to serve you again. The staff were so accommodating and gave great recommendations and tips on what to order to my young daughter who had her first oysters and clams. They made us feel very welcome. An absolute must for anyone visting or living in the area. Great food with an absolutey fanstastic service. A special mention for Steve who made our dining experience an absolute pleasure.
