Tijuana Tacos

In looking for a lunch stop in Quakertown (and checking Trip Advisor), we decided to give Tijuana Tacos a try. There is a nice range of options, with tacos, sopes, tostadas and burritos available, all at very reasonable prices. I really appreciated being able to order one, two, or three of any given item (a pet peeve of mine is how most restaurants pile on far too much food on your plate). Hubby had three tacos (carnitas, carne asada & lengua) while I enjoyed two sopes (al pastor & carne asada). Service was prompt, the space was clean, and the seating comfortable. We will certainly be back.

Five of our breakfast club members met here for our monthly get-together. We had been here almost a year ago and enjoyed our experience. The restaurant is located in a large, rather unassuming building, off a major highway outside of town. The interior of the establishment is somewhat off-putting in a cavernous setting and , during our visit, sparsely populated. Our visit went up hill from our initial impression. We were promptly greeted by the gracious and friendly host who guided us to our table. Our server arrived and provided us with both the standard breakfast menu and one with the daily specials. She assisted us navigate the menu which is vast with a wide variety of intriguing options, including Mexican items. She was helpful and affable throughout our visit, readily responding to our requests. Most of us ordered standard breakfast fare that we found to be prepared to order with fresh ingredients. Two of us had more adventurous items including the Mexican breakfast that was as good as one in Puerto Vallarta several years ago. Because of the concerned service, food variety and quality, and value, we surely will return here before another year passes!

Taco Bell food was fine, it is what it is. Tried their new Sriracha Quesarito, nice but a little bit more sriracha would make it even better. Generally clean eating area and again, they delivered Taco Bell fare in a fine fashion. But for the love of God please have someone sweep the prep area (visible from the counter) every once in a while. There is something that inherently begs the question "If they're walking on top of fallen lettuce, dropped taco shells and just kicking to the side not one but two soft tortilla wraps, what is going on that I CAN'T see?? It takes 30 seconds for an associate to sweep, the memory that customers have of them trampling fallen food while they make your order lasts much, much longer.Have someone dust the tops of the overhead order display monitors while you're at it. Seeing accumulated dust balls wiggle in the HVAC breeze over the prep tables is just plain nasty. Or maybe more than plain nasty. Maybe exceptionally nasty.Food was fine, cleanliness was tragic.
