8 of us stopped into Casa Azteca for dinner. It was slightly frustrating to try and order, it appeared that our waitress didn't speak English and didn't understand our mediocre attempts to speak Spanish. The food was fine. Just the usual small town Mexican food. Little more salty perhaps.I had a frozen 'rita and my hubby ordered one on the rocks. There was an odd flavor- it wasn't the typical lime 'rita we are used to. Our friend took a sip of his beer and ended up with glass chunks in his mouth. Seriously! They did take the beer off our bill and said if he had health issues to contact them.

I went here earlier in the week with some friends for lunch, and the food was about average. I had chalupas for lunch and the portions aren't very big, but just enough. The chips and salsa are meh. In fact, they actually put their chips in containers a couple of hours before lunch (I know this because I came for a late breakfast a couple days later and saw them doing that). My colleague raved about the breakfast burrito, so I came back and tried it. This is an item they do well with. It's large and tastes fresh. The optional cilantro you can have in it gives it a refreshing kick. Overall, an average restaurant redeemed by its breakfast burrito.

The entire place could use some updating both inside and out, but the service is good and the food is ok. It's not fancy by any means. The menu choices are standard Tex-Mex and they have some pretty good lunch specials. I suggest getting one of the combos to get a variety of tastes.
