We've been here a few times over the past several months, and the food has always been great! The chicken quesadillas, salsa, and guacamole are all very tasty, and the entrees have generous portions. Glad we gave it a try when it first opened, and we will return often.

Taco Bell is a fave fast food chain. Nice, tasty and cheap Mexican food. Fast and nice service. This one is on N Henderson but there is also one on Main St near the tourism office.

I read the positive reviews about "authentic Mexican food", was encouraged. Beautiful flowers outside, and the waiting staff seemed Mexican. But the food was so disappointing! My husband ordered chiles rellenos, they came as 3 brownish things, inside was big chuck of cheese, outside was thick layer of eggs. We've both been in many good Mexican restaurants before but never seen such things. Taste was bland and mostly egg and cheese. I ordered vegetarian burrito, it was alright but came in with nothing else, which was surprising because it was listed as dinner dish at dinner price. Overall very bland and doesn't taste Mexican to me. Store decoration is good.

This is a fun, atmospheric place with gaily painted carved chairs etc. The food was good and tasty and hot. Service was quick and delivery of food to table was timely. I had eaten here several times before because it's my brother's favorite Mexican food restaurant in Galesburg. Party of four all enjoyed their visit and their food. Will undoubtedly be going again when next visiting town.

Found this place in Galesburg, absolutely impressed with the authentic food great service. Very clean. Great job would recommend if you are in the area looking for good Mexican food stop and check it out. You will not be disappointed.

Nestled in a residential neighborhood surrounded by rails, Taco Hideout is a legendary family-owned restaurant with reasonably priced delicious Mexican fare, great Margaritas and waitresses who run their legs off, but still give personalized service. It's the type of place where you can go alone or with a group and feel comfortable. You're bound to run into someone you know every time you visit, often someone who included it as a must-do on a trip back to his or her hometown. Don't be surprised if the waitresses call you by name and the owner drops by your table. One of our favorite hometown haunts.
