This is a tough one. The food was really great- the service was seriously dreadful. I donât remember the last time my entree was served with the appetizers still in front of me - and not totally eaten! All the food was great and the meal would have been fabulous if the waiter paid just a little bit of attention to us. We were 2 people- a smaller tip than 4 people- and I havenât felt this insufficient since we ate at Hacks in Dana Point. 1st time here- may well be the last. We ordered coffee- mine came and 5 minutes later, my husbands came- not good enough. We eat well,and we tip well- our waiter made a big mistake thinking we are a 2 top and not worth the effort of a 4 top. If anyone from the restaurant is interested, I have the receipt and will happily send it to you. So it will be a long time until we go here again, and I will tell the truth to my friends,We sincerely apologize for the poor service the you received. The kind of service that particular waiter provided you does not reflects what Ciao Pasta is all about. We pride our self in providing great food and very friendly and professional service. A meeting will be call today with all the servers and buss boys to show your review and let them know that what happen to you is unacceptable. Went for a wine dinner last night; what a bargain. Five courses with single maker wines with each course. All the dishes were very good.Been here for happy hour which features some very tasty appetizers like dick legs.Good wine list. Excellent service.

We visited the Mission San Juan Capistrano and then went to visit the farmer's market (Wed. Night) nearby, figuring we'd partake in wonderful street food there. Nope. Just 5 vendors at the farmer's market, and peanuts were the only food. As we were walking back to the car, I saw one of my favorite words, "tap" on the front of Selma's, so I convinced the family to stop in for a beer.The bartender couldn't have been better, and treated us like we came in for a huge dinner and lots of drinks, though reality was that we had 3 drinks and an appetizer. Service at a restaurant is a big deal, and though I did not have the pizza, I'd head back to Selma's based solely on the great service.

We were happy to find this friendly comfortable place for dessert and coffee. The coffee is excellent and the tiramisu was very good. When you are strolling around downtown Capistrano and in need of a quiet, comfortable and classy place to sit for a drink this is a winner. I will come back and try the pasta. It is not on the cheap side but has good memories. Nice staff that seem to care about your visit.
