Happened to stop by this place detouring a bit from a drive from The Dordogne to Roscoff What a find!Pizza were absolutely delicious with nice thin bases. Couldnât fault them.It is a takeaway , however they provide tables and chairs outside in a lovely peaceful square overlooking the church.Really friendly service too.Definitely will return next time we are in the area .

Pizzaïolo sympa.Les pizzas sont copieuses et bien garnies.Les pizzas sont vraiment super bonnes avec une garniture abondante.Manifestement, il a une clientèle fidèle, ce qui est un signe de reconnaissance locale.Prix compétitifs.Je recommande sans hésiter ce commerce de pizzas à emporter. Vraiment très bien !

This restaurant is gorgeous. The food is great - and not just the numerous types of pasta, which my children and husband adore. The vegetables are tasty and the delicious sauces change regularly so there is always a reason to go back as you can try either a vegetable and pasta mix or pasta with a sauce as the organic pasta tastes so fresh. I love the salads and the soups for a lighter lunch although I cannot resist the tempting cakes and muffins that are available and my children love the variety of soft drinks that we cannot find anywhere else. The restaurant itself is very modern and the staff are very helpful and kind.Whenever we are in Saintes now, we go to Pasta Verdura as we know we are going to have a great meal, made with fresh, organic ingredients - I would recommend it to everyone.

Je me suis laissé tenter avec des amis, après avoir eu de bon retour de cette pizzeria, vraiment topissime ! La pâte est moelleuse et généreuse.Nous avons pris 6 pizzas, 3 achetées = 3 offertes je n'ai jamais vu cela.Personnel souriant, je recommande à 100%.

We visited at Easter and had a very nice meal.Good value, quick service and decent food. Risotto was very nice and children's menu very reasonable.It was busy when we visited and the whole restaurant was being served by 1 very efficient girl. It could have been disaster, but she coped very well but it did leave us feeling rather rushed and not very relaxed.The food was good though and it was nice to find a different restaurant in our local town.We will return.

Generally the rankings on TripAdvisor turn out to be reasonably close to what you find. In the case of Le Procopio it seems to me that a higher ranking is merited (although since I have not eaten at any of the other restaurants in Saintes, I may yet be proved wrong).I was very pleasantly surprised by the quality and style of the food I was served - much better than I had been expecting. This is definitely more than "just" a Pizza place, although they do, of course, serve pizzas. My three-course menu (Euro20) was tasty and inventive, with both the entree and the dessert being standouts (the main course was good too). A highlight, for me, was the wine list. As a solo diner I can never reasonably order a whole bottle, so generally end up with wine by the glass or carafe, in both cases usually mediocre at best. Here we are offered a rather impressive selection of wines by the glass (or carafe) and the wines are served from a bottle opened at the table (i.e. we are not getting wine from a cardboard box kept on a shelf in the kitchen somewhere). I had a very decent Medoc for Euro 8.90 for a 250ml carafe.There's some seating on the street, but there's also a quite please courtyard across the road from the restaurant.

This was one of the most unusual restaurants I visited on my recent trip to Charentes-Maritime.We had been looking for a Mexican restaurant (one of our number was a vegetarian and she was looking for something spicy and veggie) in the region but there are none to be found in the vicinity however we noticed there were some Quesadillas etc on the menu here when we looked it up on Trip Advisor. When we got there we discovered the Quesadillas all contained meat (they don't do Veggie very much in France) but they did do pizza too so our veggie was happy.Anyway, the menu is great for a mixed party as we were with some nice French options for some (me) and pizza's, burgers etc for the people who just want to eat what they eat at home.Waiting staff were very nice and very patient with all our fussy grown up kids (18-23) and their request for various pizzas etc "sans" this that or the other.It is a very modern setting and a large restaurant and seems to attract hen parties ( there were 3 there on the night we visited) but all handled very well.Food tasted great, was delivered promptly and was at a reasonable price.Ideal for non French visitors to the town of Saintes.
