Just wanted something quick before the Menin Gate ceremony. We were served immediately with excellent Flemish stew. Six of us arrived for dinner about 7.30 pm.I asked for a table for six , noticing that the restaurant was about half full.The man at the front desk threw his arms in the air and said come back in half an hour. He seemed really agitated.Coming back in half an hour would have clashed with people leaving the Menin Hate ceremony looking to eat.We went to the Captain Cook instead.It's not as if we are a rowdy bunch. Six blokes in our 60's and 70's.He lost about 150 euros of custom.

Visited here for lunch when in Ieper. Great pasta (slightly overwhelmed with parmesan). A "medium" portion is huge. Good prices too. Modern interior, the music is a bit loud, but other than that really good. Not sure why other reviewers have only put average, but i'd go back again!
