Decided to try a burger as they claim to sell best burgers in Ypres.I went for the poppy burger, (cheeseburger with bacon and egg) and a large portion of frites. and mayo.Lady who look our order and cooked our food was very professional. The burger was superb, cooked to perfection and not dripping with fat. Portions were big and i could not finish it.Defiantly recommend a burger from here.

Visited here for lunch when in Ieper. Great pasta (slightly overwhelmed with parmesan). A "medium" portion is huge. Good prices too. Modern interior, the music is a bit loud, but other than that really good. Not sure why other reviewers have only put average, but i'd go back again!

When I had classes in Ieper, I often took lunch in Jome, because its close to my school. Every sandwich you buy, you will get a stamp in your membercard. So you can collect the stamps and you can redeem with a free sandwich. I like that idea. The service is friendly and fast. During lunch hour this place is always having a long line. You have to be patient. The sandwich and the soup are good. The vegetables in their sandwich are always fresh. And the soup is also always warm. The price is also normal. They have some tables and seats. Most people is taking their sandwich away. But I like to sit there to have my lunch.

We visited while traveling with a group who were performing at the Menin Gate. The pizza was fantastic and even passed the test of my picky daughter (who only likes pizza from one famous pizza chain!). The staff were great even down to driving one of the group to hospital as she had fallen ill (before visiting the restaurant). I canât recommend this place enough.

It was late and I was quite hungry but didn't want to go trekking around Ypres looking for as restaurant. I didn't want to go too far from the B&B so I walked a couple of hundred metres to this frituur. It was well frequented by the locals so I thought it must be O.K. The menu choices were limited but the French fries, sorry, Belgian fries were seriously tasty chips and the mayonnaise choices were quite a surprise and I could also get a beer! A huge plate of chips and a nice cold can of Jupiler beer: cheap contentment!

On the square in Ypres this is essentially just a chip shop. you can get burgers, sausages, etc with them of course. You go up to the counter, order and pay and then find a table. A waiter will bring the food to your table. Watch the guy behind the desk as he charged us â¬10.00 too much for our meal so we had to challenge him. He immediately refunded the â¬10.00 without question - makes you wonder! The bowl of chips would have fed 2 people so consider just ordering one meal with chips and the second meal without.

This is a very friendly restaurant with an excellent choice of burgers. Beef , chicken , lamb , fish and vegetarian , all with salad and relish. The food is freshly cooked and very tasty. Eat in or take away. Good selection of bottled drinks. Have been several times and never disappointed.
