Fantastic meal last evening with our family. Fantastic. The restaurant was busy but the service was nevertheless attentive and excellent. As usual the food was top. The âlittle Perche du Lacâ were particularly good. Overall, a fantastic fantastic meal and evening.

Sitting nicely on the village edge the Auberge looks over the Chateau Vineyards.I can imagine in summer the terrace area would be packed as you couldn't find a better vista. The service was exceptional & the fixed menus whilst expensive were beautiful. For starter we had lasagne with a lobster bisque sauce ( with generous pieces of lobster) followed by the classic of 'Filet de Perche). The actual perch were some of the best we have had..... golden brown & larger than normal. Finally a Creme Brulee which I must say tasted like a real English custard !!! Bravo.

We had a lovely lunch with charming and efficient service at good prices (for Switzerland) so I cannot understand some of the other unfavourable reviews. The location is splendid, on the pedestrian promenade/terrace by the lake, unlike other restaurants which are across/beside a busily trafficked road, and right by the ferry pier (also a very short walk from either of the parking lots on the lakeside). We sat outside under an umbrella and were waited on by a charming young woman, who was very patient and pleasant while I translated and interpreted for my friends who do not speak French. She even advised us not to order a starter as the main courses are large and we would need to leave room for their fine puddings. They have daily specials as well as the regular menu and it all sounded great. However eventually we all had the classic perch fillets from Lac Leman (a cheaper version with perch from I know not where is also available), which were fresh, large and beautifully cooked, in a delicious lemon and butter sauce, with excellent French style thin chips and a very good green salad, again a delicious dressing (and a basket of bread, of course). Then desserts to die for - two huge pavlovas with red fruit and one more petite tarte tatin with ice cream, both with lots of gorgeous cream. Two of us drank Genevois Sauvignon Blanc which was, totally unexpectedly, quite superb and available in pichets by the 10dl, one had a large draft 1664 beer, plus we had two bottles of sparkling water, two cappuccinos and a double expresso. With a good tip it came to 60 francs a head which I thought was good value for Nyon. And they have a lot of very nice loos!NB to Trip Advisor: This is a Swiss restaurant, not a French one.
Nous y allons principalement pour manger le plat du jour. La cuisine y est très bonne ainsi que le service. Les portions sont correctes.
