Parkside Diner

High hopes for this restaurant; one would think that being located inside one of Tokyo's most prestigious hotels would warrant such expectations, however, this Japanese take on Western breakfast was rather distressing. Came here for a business breakfast and were left awkwardly waiting as our food came out slowly and at different times; every part of the meal seemed to arrive separately and on different plates.Toast arrived almost as our meal was finishing - despite having already pre-ordered our choices a day in advanced.. The food was ok but for the price (around $40) value for money was terrible. The only caveat is that they have good coffee.

We’ve been before, and will be sure to visit again someday. Excellent venue, fantastic service and good food. We went for the “Dom Perignon, free flow”. Arrived at 12:30, and left about 3pm. When you consider how much the hotel charges for 1 bottle, this is an amazing deal. We left, happy and completely satisfied, due to the amazing personal service from Ms Chihiro Yamada, (pictured with us). Thank you Chihiro, you really looked after us, and we hope, we get the chance to be served by you again. You were a lot of fun and very keen to accommodate our requests. Also, I’d like to express my gratitude, to all the other staff members, we encountered on that day. Yet again, 5-Star service. I cannot recommend, the Sunday Brunch enough and “Peter”, as an exceptional place to dine during the day.Dear philcZ3334WK,Thank you very much for taking the time to share your feedback with us of your recent Sunday Brunch experience at Peter. We appreciate your gracious comments about the service of our team members, and they join me in thanking you for recognizing their efforts. Food was lovely and definitely gluten free options available. Whilst the food was a little overpriced vs. elsewhere (and the usual Bill's prices) the drinks were extortionate - tea is 1,000 yen and matcha late with almond milk was 1,100yen which is a good 500yen more than everywhere else which is why I'm not giving it 4 stars. Dear wilsonbourne,Thank you for coming to bills and for taking the time to write us a review.I am glad to hear that you enjoyed our gluten free options and found our food lovely. As you have already mentioned, the prices at our Ginza restaurant is a higher price compared to other bills restaurants, as this restarant is located in the main Ginza district next to famous jewellery & luxury brands, which is one of the most expensive areas in Japan. This makes the view from our restaurant really lovely (especially at night!), but at a price.I agree with you that if food is the main priority, it would be better to visit our other locations like Omotesando or Odaiba, where you can enjoy the same fresh food, a more casual atmosphere and wallet-friendlier prices.Once again, thank you for your feedback and we hope to drop by our other restaurants!Sincerely,Management Team

“Viking” (buffet) restaurant at one of the most prestigious hotels in Tokyo. Full of local people to enjoy extraordinary dinner experience maybe to celebrate anniversaries. A bit jammed but still get the sense of five star hotels hospitality of Japan. Surprisingly only a few Chinese tourists although there are lots of such guests in the hotel. Food was good as buffet style especially roast beef and very famous Imperial Hotel curry. Lots of desert items and they were very nice. NETT 9,000 yen per pax. 20% discount for hotel guest. Maybe a bit pricey. Good for fancy family dinner for tourists and expats.

Just finished lunch here. Had the lunch express menu;delicious pumpkin soup. Pasta primavera was very mediocre, citrus cheese cake with lemon sorbet was great. It’s no doubt a luxury hotel, but service failed. Took so long for everything, so much for “express”, had 4-5 different people waiting on us which caused confusion and errors. I asked to see cocktail list for one of the bars after our appetizers were taken and I didn’t see that waitress again the rest of our meal. Would not return.Dear Rob B,Many thanks for having taken the time to share your feedback.I was dismayed to have learned that although we succeeded in serving both a pumpkin soup and citrus cheese cake that were to your liking, we disappointed with the main course and completely failed on the service delivery. I’m very sorry about that. It most certainly shouldn’t have been the case that we took an unacceptably long time to serve each course of what should have otherwise been an ‘Express Lunch’, and there’s absolutely no excuse for us having forgotten altogether your simple request to see a cocktail list. And by our standards, the team of waitstaff serving your table should have functioned seamlessly and expeditiously rather than cause confusion and errors.Rest assured, I have taken to the Grand Kitchen team the areas of concern you’ve pointed out for discussion and re-assessment so we can endeavor to avoid a repeat of the disappointment caused. Once again, thank you again for having taken the time to share your thoughts, and please accept our utmost apologies.Yoshinori NishiharaExecutive Assistant ManagerPalace Hotel Tokyo

Very popular "Gyukatsu" (beef cutlet) restaurant that now runs 6 branches in Tokyo (as of October 2016). Note that Shibuya branches are always very crowded and you should expect to wait for an hour or so, I'd suggest you get there 30-60 minutes prior or g

Amazing, amazing, amazing. Deep-fried kobe beef cutlet served with miso soup, rice and a salad. You cook the meat on the candle grill to your liking. Once cooked, dip it in soya sauce, then horseradish sauce. Staff recommend to add salt to the meat but the soya sauce does the trick. Don't forget to add thickened worcestershire sauce and soya-ginger sauce to the salad. The only thing I would change is NOT to order yams as they have a bit of funny texture, which I personally don't think go well with rice. 130g beef portion would be more than enough for an average person. Also a great alternative to a traditional pork tonkatsu for muslim visitors. Cost: 1,500 Yen per person for 130g beef katsu with yams

Finding Gluten-free in Japan can be challenging. I was happy to learn about this place from my research that I had a few options while in Tokyo. My husband, myself, and a friend stopped here for dinner. The menu I found was amazing in indicating food allergies. It made ordering a breeze for me.Most of the food was either a hit or a miss. I would recommend the shrimp and vegetables tempura, cajun fried chicken bites (AMAZING), sukiyaki, and of course sake to drink. The misses were ramen, marinated mushrooms, and yakisoba. Overall a great place for those who have allergies or intolerance. It is an easy place to bring your family members. It is on the smaller side so can be busy at times.
