After visiting the Imperial palace east gardens, we were looking for a place for lunch when we came to a large building with advertisements of food & drinks. So we went looked up a couple of floors and finally zeroed on in this cafe located on the seventh floor.The place was packed.As we entered the staff welcomed us with shouts( repeated when we left). There is a set menu of 1000 yen consisting of a salad/ soup, salad/pasta and s choice of soft drinks. The service is fast and friendly. VFM( value for money) at its best.

Having stayed at several Mandarin Hotels, expectations are always high. This spot impresses with its subtle, elegantly modern interiors. My partner and I had tea and scones. You have to leave the restaurant at 2pm for lunch time, because they will serve afternoon tea at 2:30pm.They didn't notify (or remind) me, about the above-mentioned arrangement. , from my reservation, and until our main course has arrived (without our instruction. I expected they will start the main course, when we order to serve. But they served suddenly with our negative surprise).I trust they would promote this arrangement after my feedback.We felt so strange that, they would not re-fill the food in the buffet bar at ~ 1:30pm. And I have to request my prefer (& Already no longer refill ) items , to raise to their staff direct. & We personally felt that they are not wiling to provide (But they still provide , just required to wait a bit unreasonable longer time).So, it should be rated "Terrible" in here. However, I'm appreciate their senior leader personally take care this case, after I lodged the complaint to them. I went here with my friends and had such a great time tasting the lamb shabu-shabu. We had a special course prepared for foreign students, and it was truly amazing. I loved the cotton candy that came with the lamb. Also, this restaurant has a wide variety of condiments ranging from soy sauce to yuzu pepper, so I enjoyed them with the lamb.

This place is very popular with tourists. We thought that dinner here was ok, but not great. We would have liked more variety. There was no seafood which was curious. Also the prices were high for what you got. Interestingly westerners were seated around the cooking area while Japanese people were seated in other rooms or away from the cooking area. They use real charcoal instead of gas which is authentic but the whole cooking experience creates a great deal of smoke which isn't completely removed by the fans.Thank you for coming to the restaurant. We are Yakitori âmeat skewersâ restaurant and focused on grilled meats and variety of dishes that go well with drinks. All guests can take any seats if they have a request to have particular seats they want at that time or make a reservation for where they want to be seated. We are so sorry for the smoke and not giving the best experience with us. Thank you very much for sharing your thoughts.

Came here with my Australian friend.We spend beautiful time with tasting so much kinds of sake and friendly staffs. They brought us English menu for my friend , understood his English and were very helpful in explaining the procedure to us, and helped us to navigate all the choices by providing us with a checklist sheet that detailed the qualities of all the sake. Food was also amaging!!
