This restaurant is so welcoming from the start. The waiter Gianluca (from Bologna Italy, the gastronomic capital) was really excellent and friendly.We opted for the Carta rather than the Menu del Dia, although that is great value for money.We started with the most wonderful patatas bravas, a nice Japanese & Russian salad and croquets which were very tasty.The salmon we shared in a crusty tempura reved with sanfire was delicious and the cheesecake desert was quite something. It was salted cheese served with a berry compot, and the chocolate desert were great to finish.We were 'honoured' by being served by the 'star' of the place Elenora who served our coffee. Having said that id Elenora sits on the 'throne' then Gianluca could easily sit along side her. The service was friendly and excellent which made for an overall nice experience.Thank you very much for writing. We are happy that you discovered Numa and enjoyed our gastronomy. We visited Refugio during a holiday in Valencia. We were welcomed by Paco who is a wonderful friendly warm host. Our meal was exceptional and I especially enjoyed the Iberian pork. My husband loved his lamb dish. Special care was taken with my dietary issues. Visiting this restaurant as a newcomer was like visiting a well visited and well loved favourite place.

We were very impressed by the service, cocktails and food at this restaurant. Both servers were incredibly attentive and took the time to explain all of the gluten free options available for us. They also have a gluten free brownie-cheesecake that was divine! They also had some vegan and vegetarian options on the menu. I had the vegan stirfry and was not disappointed. Will return! THank you!

We went there as group for lunch. With the tripadvisor badge on the door I expected something.... better.The place does not have any special atmosphere / ambiance / feel to it. Just a place to eat and nothing more (I would not even try a romantic meal there). My pork was good other then the edges that were much too dry (stayed in a "warmer" too long? but we were there EARLY!). Salad was... I do not think it was well thought through.The famous apple tart -- it was good (a LOT of apples) -- but clearly this was not the best apple tart I had in my life...I think that this place is over=valued by the reviewers.... Donât be intimidated by the barker in front of the restaurant. Nice setting and an attractive menu for 13,90⬠with starter, main course, dessert or coffee. It all tasted very good but a little mustard with my entrecôte would be nice. They only have mayo or ketchup :(I would have given a 5* for the food quality and great prices but the service wasnât as good. Alessia wasnât very effective and I always had to wave at her for something: bread, dessert, coffee. Itâs like I was transparent. It would also be nice to have outdoor seating but I assume they canât do it.

Came here after stumbling across this place by accident because itâs off the beaten track, lovely atmosphere and staff super friendly and helpful. Had some rose wine which was only â¬7 for two large glasses! We wish we had found this place earlier and would have come back again, would recommend.

I went here recently with my mum as we read good reviews and it looks nice. However, for the price we paid it was not great. It was similar to take away food and my mum only got two prawns in her dish. She made a complaint nicely at the time but it fell on deaf ears. Our main course also came as we were finishing our starters. Service wasnât great either. Pretty disappointing.

We choose the restaurant based on the menu and the fact that is was within walking distance of the hotel. And the food was indeed very good. I highly recommend the slow-cooked ribs as well as the Secreto. Food-wise the restaurant certainly deserves above average rating.The service has room to improve. It was very clear the staff wanted to use the table for a second customer and rushed to get us out asap. Bringing the starter and main dish at the same time however, does not make me eat faster (so we send the main courses back to the kitchen). I hope that was accidental as the food makes it a great restaurant.

Stopped by here looking for a place for dinner. We had no reservations but were able to get a seat. People coming in later were turned away so reservations would be a good idea if you want to eat here. We ordered two appies, one red curry which was very good. We ordered extra rice to soak up the sauce. I had the Iberian pork check on risotto which was amazing. Bit salty, I need to remember to ask for less salt.
