First time here - to try local. First thing ordered on menu board - unavailable. We ordered two curries and rice to dine in. The "picture" on the wall looked nicely presented. It came out in a takeaway Chinese Container - wayyyy too runny ... could see no rice as swamped with the sauce (all running together). Flavour not as should b either. I asked why not on plate as in picture - she said "Picture is for show only - we need to measure out portion in takeaway" - To dine in??? I kid you not - there were no apologies, not taking responsibility nor could she care that the meal was horrible - in both taste and presentation. I simply paid and said won't be back. Have never in my life had a meal of any sort served up to me in this way. BEWARE - don't bother to try!

I have been going here for my curry fix for a while now and it used to be the best around. I have tried many many places. I prefer British style Indian food & have been eating it regularly for over 40 years. I always ordered a red hot butter chicken and was never disappointed. However, my last two experiences have left me wondering if I should go back. A couple of weeks ago I was half way through my meal when I took a bite of something that wasnât chicken breast. It was chewy & a bit slimy. I just put that piece to one side and ate the rest. Two nights ago, I was eating my curry again when I got another mouthful of something that definately wasnât chicken breast. This put me off th3 rest of my meal. To some, this wouldnât be a big deal, but I will only eat chicken breast. I grew up on chicken tikka vindaloo & chicken tikka organ josh vindaloo hot and red hot butter chicken was their best dish with a great sauce. A great shame.Hi Conrad Austin, We always use chicken breast fillets for all curries except Punjabi chicken curry and south special chicken curry. We have many regular British customers who too don't like thigh fillets in their curries. I contacted them who all ordered on those days when you have ordered, they all said their curries were all fine with breast fillets. We have also contacted our supplier, whether there was any mix up, He too is confident about the supply. So there must be some confusion at your end. Also the price of thigh fillets is more than the breast fillets, there is no way he supplies me thigh fillets instead of breast fillets.Thanks for the review anyway.Thank YouTeam Zyka

A authentic Indian experience. Super spicy, not light on the curry. Itâs a BYO restaurant, so donât forget to swing by the bottle shop on your way to Spice Route.

I always get the beef vindaloo with papadums and all the trimmings. The food is excellent and the take away meals always last me for 2 meals staff very friendly so all good here.

Very small eatery. Friendly, helpful proprietor. We have been to India several times; Ravneel's is the closest we've had to 'Genuine' Indian cuisine. The majority of Indian eateries, in this area, have "dumbed down" to European tongues. Upon explaining to the owner our disappointment in flavours and spices (NOT HOT) just genuine flavour, we were supplied with a meal with "mild seasoning" and, for me, an highly seasoned dish. At last ONE eatery in Burpengary we'll return too!Thank you for your review. We are glad that you enjoyed your meals at Ravneels.Our goal is to introduce genuine Indian cuisine to Burpengary and the surrounding areas as well as offer our own mordern household favourites.I believe that if you haven't had Dhal (lentils), then you haven't really had Indian. Dhal is the most popular dish in Indian households, and is to Indians,what Butter Chicken is to the rest of the world. We hope to see you again soon to try mire from the Ravneels menu. Punjabi Lamb or Chicken would be a dish to try. (It is our own creation, mild yet full of flavour). Thank you .
