We enjoyed lunch at the Indian buffet today. Excellent choices and consistently good food. Very nice atmosphere in the restaurant, as well. The buffet is only $9.95 too. What a great deal.

Order at the counter. Food is delivered to the table. Excellent food at the temperature to suit your palette. I liked the fish, chicken and dhall. You have great options. Had an Indian friend who ate there almost daily. He said this is the best food you could ever get. Casual with multiple TVs to watch Bollywood or cricket or dancing. Admiring what others order while waiting for your food is a good pastime. Veg breyani was also very goood

I find Indian restaurants are hard to understand for the Midwest palate. Indian cuisine is different from American cuisine. The spices are different and the cooking style not familiar to the Midwest tastes. But if you are a culinary adventurer then Mayuri can be a culinary carpet ride.I've been here twice. The first time was a culinary adventure. My wife and I were interested in learning about chaat. Chaat is Indian street food. Mayuri did a live chaat which involved choosing your street food and then it was cooked in front of you. Interesting, educational and satisfying.Today was my second visit at the invitation of an Indian (Tamil) couple who are our friends. The buffet was satifying. They served typical items for an Indian buffet (ie butter chicken, tandoori chicken, chicken biryani, mushroom masala, mango lassie and much more). But I must caution the midwest eater. Southern Indian food is typically hotter. Personally I loved it. I'm a heat geek, chile head and fire eater. So the food for me provided a wonderful heat, but I know the midwest palette typically does not enjoy this level of heat. If you enjoy spicy heat in your food - this place is for you. It's not Bhut Jolokia (or Ghost Pepper) heat if that is what your into (which I am), but it is definitely hotter than a jalapeno. This is an Indian restaurant. During our visit for lunch the restaurant was filled with 95% Indians. My guess is that most of them were southern Indians which love the heat. But I will say this, if you want some authentic Indian food, you will find it here. This place is not about appealing to the Midwest palette but providing a satisfying version of something that Grandma cooked when you were visiting her (ie Indian style vs Midwest style)So if you like your Indian buffet lunch with some heat and you enjoy typical southern Indian dishes (whether you are from the southern Indian states or the Midwest) you Mayuri will enjoy your food!
