This place is so close from where I work and I relly love it. The staff is so friendly and they also have vegan cake and milk. (It is not easy to find in in Basque Country). Also great variety of teas and a lovely place if you go with your children. There is a place for them inside the café so they also can have a great time!

We walked out to the marina on spec not knowing much about this restaurant but we were not disappointed. Beautiful food, the Turbot was excellent. Only downside was the unpredicted storm but even that didn't spoil the evening as a member of staff drove us back to our hotel. Will definitely go back and take an umbrellaThank you very much, it was a pleasure for us! Eskerrik asko :)

We visited here because we âd read a recommendation by Australiaâs celebrated chef Neil Perry who suggested this could be the best seafood restaurant in the worldCouldnât disagree moreOur own Jim the Greeks in Melbourne had better seafood at half the priceWe shared a dish of Calamari which was ok but nothing special then a tomatoe salad which was nicely presented but the tomatoes were unrulyWe then share a plate of Turbo(whole fish) which was nicely cooked and presented but WOW at â¬96 way overpriced When we asked for the bill the waitress placed the machine in front of us and said....tip...No way given the very average serviceHeterosexual is a nice place to visit but my advice would be eat st the Tapas bars nearby or if you want seafood choose a restaurant down on the water not up on the plaza

Delicious food and great service with helpful advice from the waitress about portion size which stopped us over ordering! Views over the marina and Zumaia which looked attractive with all the lights after dark.Tables were perhaps a little close together but overall a very enjoyable dinner.

We had high expectations for the seafood restaurant based on TripAdvisor.The elderly hostess greeted us and took our jackets. A waiter/salesman came and explained the restaurant menu to us, pointing out several types of fish that they were out of. Once he took the order we never saw him again. The waiter was followed by an individual who helped us select our wine - we never saw him either. There were several helpers who presented the dishes and took our plates when finished.The wine was placed in an ice bucket on the far side of the table where we were sitting. When I asked the helper for assistance and pouring another glass of wine she moved the bucket closer to me and said âit was now easier for me to serve myself and my wife.â I have never had this kind of service or response,particularly for what is promoted as a fine dining restaurant.As for the food it was average in preparation served lukewarm and accompanied by mixed grilled vegetables (when I asked the waiter what type of vegetables his reply âsummer vegetables.â )Everything served was à la cart. This is not a cheap restaurant and there were adults wearing shorts and sloppy looking Leviâs. There were young teenagers teasing each other & disrespectful of their parents.This experience was very disappointing and not only would I not return, but I would discourage others to find a real dining experience.

We felt so luck to stumble across this restaurant. It is an amazing find. Set in an idyllic dell set back from the stunning coastal path, it serves authentic Basque food with a friendly local welcome. We arrived at 2pm on a Sunday, it was incredibly busy. There was not a table available in the main restaurant until after 4pm (book ahead!), but the waiter kindly let us eat at a table by the entrance. He served us croquettes, and a huge tuna salad. This would have been enough, but he brought amazing rapa (on the menu 'plaice' in English, but perhaps monkfish), it was served on a bed of garlic sautéed potatoes and was delicious. We had a couple of beers, and watched the Spanish families and walkers come and go. The bill was pretty reasonable, and we felt very grateful to the waiter for making space for us. Afterwards, we took the clearly sign-posted walking route to the sea, and took in the amazing views. Seek out this restaurant for great local food.Thank you very much for the visit and for the opinion, eskerrik asko
