We had lunch here. After walking through an outdated entrance area and bar you arrive at a very nicely decorated restaurant with a wonderful view on the Warburg. Service was nice but very slow. Food was okay. Good soups but not even lukewarm when they arrived at the table. Decent kids food. My beef roulade was okay, I have had better ones. The fish was very well done but the risotto was very dry. It should be creamy and delicious. Decent pricing.

Average food, friendly staff. Card payment only possible with the old German EC card, not with e.g. maestro, so if you do not have a German EC card, remember to carry sufficient cash.

Die Köhlerhütte liegt etwas Abseits am Waldrand gelegen. Die Lage und die Aussicht ist sehr schön.Die Einrichtung ist einfach, aber trotzdem geschmackvoll und gemütlich.Die Bedienungen waren nett und schnell.Als Essen hatte ich ein Rindersteak und SüÃkartoffel-Stampf. Beides war sehr gut zubereitet und lecker abgeschmeckt.Das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis ist mehr als fair.Ein Ausflug in die Köhlerhütte lohnt sich!

5 of us ate here last weekend. My main course (schnitzel) arrived a long time after the others (my father in law was just finishing his) without apology. It was a soggy greasy mess and the worst schnitzel I have tasted. My wife's special chicken dish was much better. I should have checked the bill but quickly hid it so that neither my parents-in-law nor the over 80 year old who was our guest did not try to pay as I wanted to treat them. That is why I failed to realise until we returned home that I had been charged twice for my late and poor quality main course. So my rubbish late schnitzel cost EUR 22.We ate here before last year and had a good experience but shall not bother returning again. I suspect the problem may have been related to their being very busy - so much so that we were accommodated in the associated ice-cream parlour next door. But still no excuse for shoddy service and overcharging.

Wir haben das Restaurant in unserem Hotel empfohlen bekommen und wir waren erstaunt, dass sich in dem Viertel noch ein Restaurant befindet. Es lohnt sich auf jeden Fall vorbei zu schauen. Der Service war freundlich und das Essen schmeckte sehr gut, frisch gekocht.

Kleines Restaurant mit groÃen Portionen. Das Essen hat sehr gut geschmeckt und auf Sonderwünsche geht man gerne ein (anstatt Bratkartoffeln einen groÃen Salat ) ganz ohne Aufpreis. Die Bedienung war nett und freundlich, dass Essen kam recht zügig. Empfehlenswert.

We were in town to look at the castle and needed a bite to eat. The inside is quirky. The staff was nice and polite. We thought that it was the tomato house and were a bit disappointed to find only potatoes :) Joking aside, all of the dishes were good and we finished all the food. My step-father even had a dish that was served in a miniature wheel-barrow with a sparkler lit on top. That was pretty cool.

Wir haben in der Skihütte sehr gut gegessen, hatten Wildgulasch mit Rotkohl und Thüringer KlöÃe. Der Rotkohl war für unseren Geschmack etwas zu nelkenlastig, das andere aber sehr gut. Die Hütte hat uns gut gefallen, wirkt sehr gemütlich, das Personal war ein bisschen kühl.

Hoch über Ruhla, einer Kleinstadt in Thüringen findet man die "Schöne Aussicht", die ihren Namen mit vollem Recht trägt. Ein langeingesessener Familienbetrieb, welcher mit viel Liebe und Fachkenntnis geführt wird. Die Speisen sind original thüringisch, sehr wohlschmeckend und liebevoll angerichtet. Auch der Service lässt keinen Wunsch offen. Die Einrichtung ist ansprechend und jeder Jahreszeit angepasst. Wir besuchen dieses Lokal schon viele Jahre und sind immer wieder gern dort. Man kann es uneingeschränkt weiter empfehlen.

Wir haben einen Abend mit Freunden hier verbracht. Die Bedienung war sehr freundlich und schnell. Das Essen (z.B. Entrecote), war sehr lecker und trotzdem preiswert. Hier solte man unbedingt einkehren.
