When we first checked TripAdvisor, we were surprised about the few reviews only but quickly realised that there are loads and loads of reviews on other portals online, say Booking, Holiday Check and the likes. In sum, if you're looking for beautifully designed boutique holiday apartments, a gorgeous setting in mother nature and word class (and I mean world class!) service, don't think twice and stay with Regina. Located close to scenic forest walks and only minutes driving from shops, restaurants and cafes, Gaestehaus Regina offers very spacious apartments with balcony, dedicated parking and a huge garden with plenty spots to relax, sunbathe or BBQ. It was a bit chilly these days but I'll surely return in late spring or summer to savour those benefits, too. We enjoyed breakfast, entirely catered and tailored by Regina with warm and cold options. It was nothing short of delicious, a gigantic selection in an elegantly designed room While accommodation, location and the food service were very high quality, the absolute highlight of our stay was Regina, the owner and soul of this place. The minute we entered, Regina welcomed us with professionalism and the greatest heart and warmth that made us instantly feel home away from home, like we've known for ages. It makes me feel good even thinking back and writing this review about her. A truly exceptional place, for romantic getaways, friends reunions, families, solo travellers with a feel good atmosphere that is second to none! Needless to say that Regina's English was impeccable. For additional context: We were a mixed race group of friends, some from the LGBTQ+ community and Regina made each and every one feel like family. Absolutely wonderful and inclusive!!

Reviewed By Mona LDie Lichtung ist wunderschön und sehr geschickt gestaltet. Man bewohnt ein Häuschen für sich alleine, unseres war direkt an einem Bächlein. Bei Schnee und Feuerprasseln herrlich! In der kleinen Küchenzeile ist alles vorhanden. großer Kühlschrank. Gastro direkt am Eingang der Anlage und ein super Metzer - achja das heißt Fleischer ;-) im Ort. Wir kommen wieder!

Reviewed By Peter HEinfache Unterkunft in ruhiger Lage. Mehr oder weniger mitten im Wandergebiet. Die Zimmer sauber, das Badezimmer groß. Frühstück bietet eigentlich alles, leider filterkaffee. Parkplätze sind auf dem Grundstück vorhanden. Auto ist auch notwendig, da ein Lokal in der Nähe zu hatte, und das zweite überteuert ist.

Reviewed By SchuuuhWie ein Vorredner schon meinte, etwas weit weg vom Rennsteig, aber nun gut! Der Umweg dadurch ist nicht minder schön! Lohnt sich ebenso! Die Herberge an sich ist etwas in die Jahre gekommen, aber das ist nunmal nur eine Herberge, und dafür, um sich vom Rennsteig zu erholen und eine Nacht dort zu schlafen, sehr ausreichend und zweckmäßig! Sauberkeit ist auf jedenfall gegeben, die Gastgeber sind sehr nett, das Frühstück auch auf jeden Fall ausreichend und abwechslungreich genug, erst recht für das wenige Geld für die Übernachtung! Gerne wieder!
