My wife and I had fond memories of this restaurant and decided to try it again. Unfortunately it is under new management. The delicious Thai food and excellent German food were things of the past. In their place were traditional German dishes. We ordered one Schnitzel Grün and one Schnitzel Champignon. After a rather long wait, both dishes arrived. The schnitzels were huge and thicker than any either of us have ever had. These were accompanied by huge portions of Pomme Frites. Alas, each schnitzel had a strange taste and a coarse, unpleasant texture. Our two meals included soft-drinks and totalled 33,60â¬. If you evaluate food by quantity per Euro, you will find value here. But, if you judge meals on their quality, you will feel cheated.We fall into the latter category and therefore recommend you AVOID the Berghütte Guckai-Stuben.

The half chicken was OK, the the chicken schnitzel was a bit boring. We had our dog with us, no problem. An OK place, but not out if the ordinary. There was many other guests. Very popular I would say.

Es gibt Lokale, die man eigentlich nicht bewerten möchte, damit man immer einen Tisch bekommt und sich nicht zu viele Menschen dort drängeln. Die Dorfstube gehört dazu. Wir haben telefonisch reserviert und konnten bei schönem Wetter auf der Terrasse sitzen. Die Karte ist nicht groÃ, aber die Speisen sind von sehr guter Qualität. Auch deswegen, weil die Ausgangsprodukte gut sind. Biologisch und regional wird gekocht. Die beiden Besitzerinnen strahlen eine Zufriedenheit aus, die auf die Gäste abfärbt. Auch Hahn Helmut ist einen kurzen Besuch wert !

Davvero una scoperta questo angolo di Rhön, in cui siamo arrivati grazie a un'amica del posto. Ristoranti assolutamente da provare, a carattere familiare, dove i piatti sono prevalentemente vegetariani e in parte biologici. Ma non si disdegna nemmeno la carne, con ottime preparazioni. I piatti sono molto ricchi, sempre comprensivi di contorno. Ottime le melanzane con formaggio, la carne con tasca ripiena di formaggi, le patate in ogni modo e tanto altro. Il prezzo è assolutamente contenuto, non si spendono più di ⬠15 e il tutto viene accompagnato da un'ottima birra locale, come sempre. Servizio semplice e assolutamente gentile. Il ristorante ha alcuni tavoli all'interno e pochi tavoli all'esterno. Sopra la locanda c'è anche un piccolo hotel. Da non perdere a Gersfeld.

If you love grill food and this is the place to go for the best ever spareribs. I have never ever had such an amazing spareribs until now and it is served with baked potatoes and with a delicious sauce ever.The restaurant itself is located in a very nice place with a small lake and there are seat outside as well where it is very nice to be during summer.The Restaurant has a rustic decor, staff are friendly and the price are reasonable for the quality of foods on offer.The menu is quite extensive but i would suggest the spareribs to anyone wanting to try this Restaurant.It is a must see! Bon Appetite!!

We arrived at the restaurant after a beautiful day of trekking. It seemed that most of the patrons came for trekking as well. The restaurant is quite informal and located out doors on L shaped terrace of a hotel. It's on a hill and the terrace it self is fairly elevated which allows for a spectacular view. The food is delicious, the service is good and it was well priced. Won't get a table without a reservation tho. It's so good it's always full !!
