All too short a stay!
Reviewed By Anny454We had booked two nights here in our ‘rundfahrt’ around Germany, but really wished we were staying longer, and will hopefully return. In an off the beaten track village, the hotel offers wonderful views of the Rhône, quiet and comfortable rooms, excellent breakfasts, delicious dinners and the friendliest owners we have met in many a year. Superb.

Reviewed By Jeannie FWe stayed at Best Western Rhön Garden because of our ski trip at Wasserkuppe. We stayed here last year for the same reason, really enjoyed the hotel and the facilities it offers (our kids loved the big heated swimming pool) and decided to come back to it again this year (we otherwise never stayed at the same hotel twice). We always book the family room as we have 2 young kids (5 and 3). The rooms are clean and the amenities are good (no minibar but everything else is there). All staffs are lovely and friendly, the gentleman at the front desk even remembered us from last year. Breakfast offers a good selection of cold and hot food, DIY waffles is a highlight for the kids every morning, while my husband and I enjoyed the wide selection of teas on offer. We dined at the restaurant twice for dinner, the food was fresh and tasty. The hotel seats you at the same table everyday, so you get to know the other guests quite quickly, if willing. Our kids befriended the boy from the next table, which was very sweet. We have not tried the sauna unfortunately but heard that it's a must. Wait till our next visit! Well done Best Western Rhön Garden, keep up the great work!

The hotel is very near to ciy centre Price is correct for the service received. I will stop again during my next trip

Reviewed By tatjanakF9330JHDas Ehepaar versucht wirklich den Gast jeden Wunsch von den Augen abzulesen. Wir wurden so herzlich empfangen und haben uns direkt zuhause gefühlt. Es ist alles super sauber und ordentlich. Natürlich ist es keine top modere Unterkunft, aber es ist alles da was man braucht. Ein wunderschöner Garten - Nachmittag gibt es hausgemachten Kuchen und vieles mehr. Sehr ruhig gelegen und gut mit dem Auto zu erreichen. Sehr günstig und der perfekte Ausgangspunkt um eine Wanderung in der Röhn zu starten. Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder.

Tolles Ziel für eine kurze Auszeit
Reviewed By 896kathrintSuper schöne Unterkunft. Ruhig und etwas abseits gelegen - man kommt aber fußläufig nach Poppenhausen. Restaurants und ein Tegut in Laufentfernung. Wir wurden zudem erstklassig von unseren tollen Gastgebern umsorgt. Zum Abschalten haben wir zwei Nächte in den Rhön Lodges übernachtet. Super sauber und sehr angenehm. Für Selbstversorger geeignet.

Tolle Unterkunft in ruhiger Lage!

Vollstes Lob an die Gastgeberin des Hauses, die jederzeit ansprechbar für Wünsche war (z.b. bei dem sehr leckeren Frühstücksangebot) und sehr aufmerksam sich um die Gäste kümmert, dabei aber nie aufdringlich wirkte! Die Pension können wir sehr empfehlen und freuen uns auf ein Wiedersehen!

A "shell" hotel with no personnel
Reviewed By jeankroeberOne had to type in one's credit card information on a keyboard outside the hotel to get a key to your room...we had trouble with this. There was no one on the hotel grounds. We got to our room on the third floor (no elevator) and it was simple but clean. There were two small towels in the tiny bathroom (turn around and you're out) but no glasses for water. Also, no bathmat. A tiny bit of fluid soap was in a left-over container. The "lamps" were practically unusable...I used my flashlight to read a few pages. No breakfast available. Inconvenient was the feature that we had to constantly leave the card in the door to have light...if one of us wanted to go out without the other, then the other had no way of getting back inside the hotel. The next morning, leaving, we saw the woman who cleaned and she was embarrassed when my husband mentioned these important missing items that one expects in every hotel room. She said "they used to have them" but she thinks they weren't there for the last year. For this, we paid 67 Euros. Also, there were no brochures of any kind there or even a simple map of the town...a bit odd in view of its proximity to the Wasserkuppe. We would never go back to this "hotel". JKroeber

Reviewed By pmhakSehr schön gelegen mitten im Grünen in der Kuppenrhön. Man kann sowohl innen als auch außen sitzen.Die Gaststube ist sehr liebevoll u. gemütlich eingerichtet. Die Speisekarte ist überschaubar u. abwechslungsreich.Das Essen war sehr lecker u. der Service nett u. aufmerksam.
