Discover Restaurants offering the best German food in Bad Kreuznach, Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany. Bad Kreuznach (German pronunciation: [baːt ˈkʁɔʏtsnax]) is a town in the Bad Kreuznach district in Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany. It does not lie within any Verbandsgemeinde, even though it is the seat of the like-named Verbandsgemeinde. Bad Kreuznach is a spa town and the seat of several courts as well as federal and state authorities. Bad Kreuznach is also officially a große kreisangehörige Stadt ("large town belonging to a district"), meaning that it does not have the district-level powers that kreisfreie Städte ("district-free towns/cities") enjoy. It is, nonetheless, the district seat, and also the seat of the state chamber of commerce for Rhineland-Palatinate. It is classed as a middle centre with some functions of an upper centre, making it the administrative, cultural and economic hub of a region with more than 150,000 inhabitants. Moreover, the town and the surrounding areas are renowned both nationally and internationally for their wines, especially from the Riesling, Silvaner and Müller-Thurgau grape varieties.

We stopped into the Wolpertinger on a very rainy day the first week of April. I thoroughly enjoyed a Brauhaus pork Schnitzel with fried potatoes and a salad. The brown gravy was excellent and really added to the meals flavor. My wife enjoyed the Zanderfilet fish (usually Pike) special on a bed of spinach with fried potatoes. The restaurant was warm and inviting and displayed lots of unique décor. Be sure to sit on the river side if there is a table available. We sat on the front window or town square side and it was still a good choice. Service was prompt and efficient. German waiter service is not always chatty and friendly like some of us Americans are accustomed, but it is solid, professional service. Excellent choice for lunch or dinner and right in the middle of town if you are visiting Bad Kreuznach. It is located inside the Hotel am Kornmarkt.

We are visting Bad Kreuznach from Canada for 3 months. We came upon Cello by accident as it is located a 10 minute walk from our flat. We are so fortunate to have found this hidden little gem which is far off the tourist path. We have visited 6 times in our first 43 days. The ambiance is great and the food and service are both superlative. The food is fresh, of excellent quality and good size portions at a reasonable cost. We have tried pizza to grilled chicken in lemon butter and many of their pasta dishes. We have yet to be disappointed. Our primary server Fabio, speaks English and he is excellent at his job. Fabio makes us feel welcomed and special every time we have had dinner. We will go to Cello again a number of times before we return home to Canada. We took our Italian friends from Mainz for dinner at Cello and they told us the quality of food and service was better than any Italian restaurant in their city. To Fabio and his colleagues thank you so much for always providing us with a delightful evening of dining

Was stationed here in the 70s and go back from time to time. Went with a friend to this place since it opened since I was here last. Two story modern restaurant attached to brewery. Has a pork shank that was excellent and more than I could finish. Had a couple of beers, but not they brewed. I had been told their home brew was not that great so we went with the Oktoberfest beer and it was great. Surprisingly not as expensive as most places here.

A must, especially for tourists like me that enjoy wine and want their experience to be enriched! The Nahe Vinothek is the best place to taste a good glass of wine from the wine growing region NAHE. It is situated in a representative old house/building named âDienheimer Hofâ. One can sit at tables, the bar in a room on the ground floor or in the cellar. You may choose from 50 open bottles of wines. If you would like to taste a variety, you may order a wine-tasting with 6 different wines. The wine of 50 wine-growers; among them the best and highly awarded of the Nahe region. There is a choice of 150 'Nahe' bottles of wine, three from each winemaker. I was assured that you may purchase wine at the price the wine grower charges - NO mark-up! It is not an official restaurant, but they serve smaller regional food; onion cake when it's a new wine season or flame cake, sandwiches etc. Four times a year they offer âwine and dineâ. A four-plate-menu is accompanied by four matching wines presented by one of the 50 wine-growers and in December they open the Winter Lounge in the yard of the âDienheimer Hofâ. During the cold winter time you may taste red and white hot wine, what the Germans call âGluehweinâ.Enjoy your visit as much as my wife and I did. We sat outside in the courtyard talking to one of the Partners, Jan Glaab, who's knowledgeable and his English is excellent. Here are the names of some very popular and possibly the best winegrowers in the Nahe. Their wines are available in the Vinothek:-- Weingut Emrich-Schönleber- Weingut Dönnhoff- Weingut Dr.Crusius- Weingut Diel- Weingut Johannes Baptist Schäfer- Weingut Schäfer-fröhlich- Weingut Gut Herrmannsberg- Weingut Kruger-Rumpf- Weingut SchneiderThe first seven estates are all members of the VdP (Verband der Prädikatsweinhersteller ) This private organization of winegrowers are producing wines on a high quality standard, e.g. they allow only a maximum amount of 7.000 litres out of a hectar (10.000 m²) vineyard. In good years you may harvest 10.000 and more. And, a winegrower may become a member only by recommendation of other winegrowers who are already VdP-members.

Was there after a disappointing visit 2 months ago. They improved a lot, though there still is some room for more (isn't there always?). We were a party of 4, reserved a table and it turned out to be a good idea, as the place was filled with no free tables. They helped us with the coats, we sat. We were asked for beverages and were handed the menues within a few minutes. Some fresh bread (white and brown) with butter, some cream and lard came with the beverages. We ordered and the starters arrived pretty soon (we all chose to have the same: cold beef slices on a cream with reddish and a topping of beet creme. Delicious and surprising. Two of us chose Wiener Schnitzel, with fried potatoes and salat and they also liked it very much: not too greasy, but tender and tasty. And quite a big portion. Anotherone chose the strange combination of fish fillet and blackpudding. But it turned out to be a great combination of tastes. Finally, lamb fillet, 4 pieces on ratatouille and with cooked potatoes. Also a large portion and excellent. We then ordered the menu again and ordered different desserts. Unluckily, the desserts took some time and also did not arrive in parallel. Maybe we should have ordered then upfront.Service is young, sometimes we could feel some overload (e.g. orders for refills were not taken). But again: they very much tried to do a good job for the customers, which all of us appreciated well. Very good choice for Bad Kreuznach, one of the best 5 restaurants here.

The MICHELIN guide gives us two Michelin stars and says: "This lovely family owned and runned restaurant, a ferry house from the 16th century situated next to the Nahe river, offers typical dishes of the region."In the high-quality magazine "FEINSCHMECKER
This is a small restaurant on the Nahe riverside in the middle of a beautiful scenic area.Frequented by bike trekkers and motorcycle enthusiasts in the warmer months it can fill up quickly, especially on the terrace in fine weather. It is the perfect stop in this wine growing region for lunch or dinner. Menus are available in English and the staff is also bilingual. Service is attentive and helpful and many local wines are featured to pair with menu items.Traditional dishes are the stars here with offerings of asparagus in season, blood pudding and veal among others. The monk fish was an excellent main after a starter of delicate cream of white asparagus soup. An added plus is that the Chef is sensitive to requests for less salt or more spice as each dish is made to order.

The Restaurant offered an outstanding 4 course dinner. The vines corresponded perfectly to the international and regional foods having been served this night. Amazing ideas went into the dessert creation, I'm just mentioning the "basil-creme-ice". It was a very nice evening, worth every penny.

Restaurant & Terrasse - Fine dining in a very special and relaxing atmosphere. Tastefully different!
It was a warm monday evening when we arrived, together with our business friends from Doha, at this location. The Restaurant is part of the Kelsterbach Tennis club, which is by the way a fantastic organized club with great courts, and located in the old forrest area completely embedded in the nature of the Kelsterbacher city Forrest. We experienced a great evening, enjoyed awesome & delicious food ( huge portions ) and good drinks which have been served by friendly and attentive staff.Necessary to mention that we paid for both, food and drinks, really reasonable prices. My personal conclusion, this is indeed a place to visit and you certainly will come back more than once.I only can recommend start your own journey to explore the Restaurant Auszeit .Timo Stroh
