Located on a narrow pedestrian street in the heart of the beautiful old town, this little gem offers contemporary high quality dishes with wonderful flavours and with local ingredients. We took the Chef's Surprise Menu and didn't regret it, the dishes were perfectly executed, tasted heavenly and the service was relaxed and impeccable. The wines paired with the dishes were right on target. The restaurants interior was elegant and charming. Hands down the best one star michelin restaurant we've been in.Do make a reservation. You won't regret it!

This wine shop is at the top end of the old town down a small street opposite the Hôtel de Ville but if you’re wandering the streets up that way at lunchtime it’s worth a visit. We had a salad and the sardine platter which was large and delicious with a very nice glass of white wine. The shop manager was a very friendly guy. Also it’s air conditioned inside which was lovely as it was roasting when we were there.Highly recommended.merci beaucoup de votre visite

While staying in Vannes for two nights we visited this restaurant last night. Tucked away in a little side street you receive a very warm and friendly welcome and shown into a modern stylish restaurant. Lovely fish canapé to start then followed by three excellant courses - the aubergine and Parmesan crumble was a real highlight as was the sardine wrapped in deep fried potato. Mains were excellant , we enjoyed duck , pork and steak. Lovely choice of desserts or cheese. All courses presented beautifully . Very nice and reasonably priced choice of wines . Would highly recommend this place - tiny gripe was very quiet atmosphere and then eventually some very quiet background music was put on which improved things . Very good service and prices. Thanks so much for took the time to write this kindly return. Sincerely.

We found this little pancake restaurant hidden in a little and calm street just off one of the noisy main streets of Vannes. We were looking for something precisely like this: welcoming decor, quiet and relaxed atmosphere, laid-back musique in the background. In addition to the wonderful atmosphere, the food and service is great. While the crepes bretonne are not rocket science to make in any case, it is amazing what a he variety there is and this place is definitely one of the quite rare good creperies in such a touristic location as Vannes.

We happened to pass by later in the lunch hour and were drawn to the cute patio. We asked if they had room and they said no so we started walking away when the owner came after us and said they had a table. This type of thing rarely happens in France. The vibe was like being at your grandmas house- from decoration to how friendly everyone was. We all ordered fish dishes that were simple, fresh and full of flavor. I mentioned how much I loved my lunch atleast 5 times while eating. Desserts are home made and they have fun champagne cocktails. I will make a point of coming back to Vannes so I can eat here again. Hello ElysiaThank you very much for you kind review, we hope to see you again soon... Isabelle, Yann and Team

Very friendly and personal service of both waiters! Good, delicious cuisine! By nice weather we‘ve got a table outside close to Hotel de Ville and it‘s square. There was Vannes‘ Jazz Festival and a performance on the square there, so we could enjoy the culinary charm as well as the cultural one with beautiful music. Uncomplicated and motivated staff. Thank you :) Thank you for your comment. Fortunately the weather was not so bad that night. Thank you again for your kindness during the dinner

La Tête en l’Air is a small (and quiet) restaurant in the old part of Vannes that has two options: a five course and a seven course meal, both of which are selected by the chef and are available without or with wine pairing. The seven course meal is the same as the five course meal (appetizer, two fish courses, a meat course, and a dessert) plus a cheese course and a second dessert course. With a very nice amuse bouche, you actually get closer to 6 and 8 courses. The wine pairing is nominally 4 and 5 glasses (all selected by the sommelier) for the 5 and 7 courses respectively but can be modified. Each wine was magnificently paired with the very attractive, creative and delicious courses. An informative description of the food and wine is provided when served. The service was excellent. We will definitely return when we are next in Vannes. Reservations required. Note: in Brittany, it seems to be the rule that there is only one sitting so the table is yours for the night.
