This delightful creperie is situated in a converted barn in the Vendean countryside. All the produce is home-grown and/or organic, and the very reasonably-priced menu is based entirely around crepes and galettes. The walls of the creperie are often covered by the works of professional artists, some of which are for sale. It is wise to book, because La Ch'mi is only open at the weekends. It is the place to go if you want to enjoy an excellent, informal supper with friends and family in a welcoming and authentic atmosphere.

Our second evening meal of the weekend was a bit of an unknown. The only restaurant in the village and as we didn't want to ride any more that day, we had no choice. However, as it turned out we could hardly have chosen better. 20 Euros for a three course meal, which was not far short of fine dining, is remarkable. I had beef in a red wine sauce which was as good as I have eaten anywhere. The decor may be a little retro, but the food was modern and high quality.
Mont Bagel serves homemade bagels with local and organic products, your bagel is prepared when you order! The sandwich "le volaille" is amazing great mix of flavours, so is the salmon bagel that my friend ordered. They also serve tempting desserts my friend had Caramel Ganache and I had a french flag cupcake, it was really good! You can take your meal away or eat outside at the tables provided by Mont Bagel! The couple who run the place are charming ! Really near to the Puy du Fou if need a quick meal before heading out to the night show!!

5 of us ate here today, we all opted for the 5 course Carte Blanche menu where the Chef decides what we are going to eat and I can honestly say that the quality was 5 star! Faultless, well done, Fabrice, David and Stephan.Amazing value at 30 euros a head.If you find yourself in the Vendee this year (handy for Puy du Fou, too), I recommend that you eat at Les 3 Piliers.

We made the 4+ hour drive from Caen to the Les Epesses region to go to Puys du Fou the next day, and made an advance booking after having found this restaurant (being the only Bib Gourmand selection) in the Michelin Guide. What a treat awaited us! The backdrop was spectacular - lush grass and vineyards stretching as far as the eye could see. The wines were so inexpensive it was like buying from a convenience store (but obviously 100 times the quality - we're talking Loire Valley wines after all). The food? We had the escargots (hands down the best escargots I have ever had), the pigeon and the veal. Just unbelievably divine and scrumptious. My wife literally had a look of rapture on her face over dessert. I'm not really a dessert person, until I found out that they had put a mango jelly in the parfait she was eating. And that essentially sums up this restaurant - they make heavenly food with the simplest of ingredients. Service was warm and sincere, which we have come to expect from the finest of the "local" restaurants in France. And of course, this being a Bib Gourmand restaurant, you are paying peanuts - just more icing on the cake. The absolute gastronomic highlight (and there were a number of them) of the trip.

Easy parking open all week, very large restaurant, has outside seating also. Varied menu, gets very busy in week between 12 to 2 as many locals and business people use on regular basis. On several visits no complaints.
