On the beach, rents lounge chairs and umbrellas. Stopped for lunch. Reasonable cost. Had mamas fried chicken, which was a chicken leg and attached thigh. Came with Mac and cheese, and a dollop of sheperd pie. About $15. Also, chicken wings were okay, and fries. Tried to pay with credit card, but they said internet down and only cash accepted.

Anywhere else in the world this review would be worse, but for the Caribbean this place was perfect! Stunning setting on the boardwalk looking out to sea. Slightly stroppy proprietor who yelled "busy" when the stall holder next door said she had customers. Eventually she sauntered out with a big grin and took our order.Four drinks including a beer and 4 big sandwiches was $42 so not bad. Beer was ice cold and the hand squeezed lemonade was excellent. Big freshly made sandwiches were good. The bill was delivered by a 9yo boy sat at the bar. Very Caribbean, very authentic. Loved it.Just don't expect US style service; just chill!

Snack & Beach Bar on the Boardwalk in Philipsburg
Lovely place with great food , service , and drinks. My only reason for not giving it five stars is because timeshare salesmen tend to hang out there and troll for customers. As much as they do hang out there, I can't believe that management doesn't know who they are and run them off. That being said, don't miss this wonderful restaurant because of that, but be wary for their sales tactics.

We stopped in at this restaurant to check out the menu, as we were planning on returning for dinner. The owner, a female, tall blonde, french accent, came charging out from the back and ordered us to leave.. I explained we were just there to see the menu and looking forward to returning for dinner. She shouted profanities at us and demanded we leave. We were SHOCKED !! Needless to say DID NOT RETURN.... We travel to St. Maarten at least twice a year - best island in the Caribbean for the friendly, welcoming locals.. We have made many friends with them while vacationing in St. Maarten. Since our experience we spoke with many travellers who experienced the same reception for this restuarant owner...

We found Le Petite Cafe by accident when shopping in Philipsburg and left Front Street to look for Back Street. The cafe is small but with great personable service. The chicken and bacon crepe I had was delicious as was the panini my husband had. Definitely worth a try when in Philipsburg. experiences, you're helping travellers make better choices and plan their dream trips. Thank you!

We were recommended to visit here by a local merchant. It reminded me of the many small restaurants of this kind in Paris. Service was good, food was above average. The menu offered many options with quite a few Pizza variations. Being a little off the corner, it was quite,in the shade, and cool.

We went to this beach front restaurant as part of a food tour. The shrimp and rice dish , small salad, served us was absolutely delicious. The staff was friendly and warm and the view and breeze were the best. They have valet parking so you don't have to worry about finding a parking space in this crowded town. If we had more time on the island we would have been back for a full meal.

Charming place on a side street. Very casual, outdoor atmosphere. I had a delicious veggie wrap, and the Hubs enjoyed his chicken ranch wrap. Beer, cocktails, smoothies, espressos; they have it all. Very reasonable prices and the server was very sweet. Lots of choices and desserts, too.
