Reviews on French food in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, United States. One of the most historic cities in America, Philadelphia is an ideal place to spend a weekend - preferably a long one. Be sure to see the Liberty Bell and Independence Hall, where the Constitution and Declaration of Independence were signed. Both are part of Independence National Historic Park. Philadelphia also boasts some outstanding art museums, including the Rodin Museum. The Franklin Institute Science Museum is one of many area attractions honoring the life and work of Benjamin Franklin, the city's most famous ambassador. After digesting all of that history, be sure you save room for a classic Philly cheese steak sandwich.

Husband’s cassoulet was excellent my steak frites was ok. The French fries ( I ordered them without the truffles so got basic fries. Over cooked and nothing special. The creamer brûlée had good texture, but too much vanilla. Very attractive restaurant, a bit too loud. Good service.

Once you step inside the door, you'll feel like you've in a cafe in Paris, everything, from the old tiles, the bar, the bustle, the light fixtures, minus the stereotypical arrogant Parisian service lol. I won't recommend you have their coffee, but please make sure you order the French toast. It's the right balance of chewy, slightly moist, correctly sprinkled syrup, and perfectly poached apple slices with the magical amount of cinnamon. oh mon dieu.

You won’t find a better dinning experience in Philadelphia. At its beginning the dinning room was pretty but very tight with less than comfortable furniture. Since the renovations, the seating has been drastically reduced and the seats upgraded. The staff has always been and continues to be the very best. The menu is always phenomenal. I’m not totally on board with the change from a menu to a single set chefs choice menu. This is a small select restaurant (seating for about 22), BYOB, and pricey. This is truly a great dining experience but not for everyone.Public parking across the streetIf you enjoy great food, you want to try Bibou at least once. I’m sure you’ll go back!

After having thoroughly enjoyed a delicious breakfast at Lacroix, we decided to experience a tasting dinner offered by the restaurant. The 6-courses affair (with the addition of various amuse-bouches, small bites and gourmandises it is actually more an 8- to 9-course offering). Without dwelling on particular dishes, for the menu varies and gets constantly reinvented, we can only express the highest degree of contentment and satisfaction we experienced and convey the continuous feeling of surprise, discovery and gratitude to Chef Eric L., the Chef de Cuisine of this supreme destination for the lovers of the high gastronomy. Highly recommended for both the inventively artistic cooking and excellent wine-pairing. Now, we shall prepare for Lacroix's next level of ultimate culinary experience, the multi-course Chef's Tasting Menu. Please expect our next review soon.Dear RGSOUNDFSo glad you decided to join us for Dinner and delighted to see how much you enjoyed your experience with us. Chef Eric and his team are truly exceptional and I can not wait to share your comments with them. Please reach out to me or Hani our Restaurant General Manager directly and let us know if there is anything we can do to make your next culinary experience even more special.SincerelySylvain

I was dining alone, travelling for business and was made very welcome.I sat outside and ordered the chef’s menu with matching wines, and it was a supremely enjoyable experience. The waiters knew all about the food and wine and offered attentive but not intrusive service. The food was incredible and so consistently good that I can’t name a highlight.I highly recommend this place, so if you get the chance, do it!
