This very nice restaurant is a local one situated a few minutes away from where I live, and is open mostly at lunch time. I had lunch there for the first time and got to be soooooo happy! The food is fantastic, and the cook and waitresses are so nice with customers. They really take care of you and wanna make you feel at ease. Two menus were possible:⢠main dish + dessert or first plate + main dish, for 12,50â¬.⢠first plate + main dish + dessert for 15â¬.The menus are written on the wall, it changes everyday as the food is always fresh and prepared every morning.So good, healthy, tasty, away form touristic locations, it is hugely worthing it.If you are looking for what's local, cheap and of real good quality, this is where you have to eat!Merci infiniment de votre gentil message...

We had a party of eight aged from 14 upwards, the owner gave us a warm welcome, menu in French but did help with the odd word we couldn't translate, the font used was rather fancy and didn't help, but this is being rather picky,We all thought the servings were on the large side , especially the chocolate mouse, it's big and it's tasty!Between us we had steak, salads, burgers and double salmon burger all were very tasty.. It decor is very smart but casual. We had a few in our party who weren't into fish or seafood which is difficult when you're holidaying near the Fench coast! But everyone found a good choice here.PS we thought the French Fries were very good!,

Today's lunch at Restaurant Christopher Coutanceau was a revelation. Without exception, it was one of the best seafood-based meals I have eaten in France.Everything was perfect, from reception to departure.The quality and creativity of the cuisine was perfectly matched by the relaxed professionalism only seen in the finest French restaurants.I'm quite interested in cooking and was impressed by how knowledgeable everyone on the staff who I quiried on ingredients and preparation were.Perfect food, incredible presentation, knowledgeabl, relaxed but professional staff, it doesn't get any better than this anywhere in France.

Only visited for drinks but great atmosphere and got involved in the quiz even though we speak virtually no French!! Barman happy to translate for us and had a great laugh with the locals. Food menu seemed a bit limited but there were plenty eating and enjoying by the looks. We'd go back!!

Booked in advance after recommendations on trip advisor. Empty when we arrived but within half an hour full up with even some refusals on a Wednesday night! Food was beautifully presented. Staff very friendly. Menu was slightly limited for choice if you have any fussy eaters but we all enjoyed ours especially the whole dorade!

We almost missed the French lunchtime slot AGAIN and were pleased to stumble on this unusual place specialising in omelettes and salads. The owners took pity on us and agreed to serve us lunch, despite it being absurdly late (2pm). The food was beautifully presented and delicious.. my mushroom omelette packed with various types (of mushroom). We loved all the egg-shaped touches and had a nice chat with the couple who run the place (a newish venture for them). Really charming place for lunch, especially if you have children in tow. There are some great-looking restaurants around La Rochelleâs market, but none seemed that welcoming for a small child. This was perfect . Canât think of any egg jokes that havenât already been used

With all this beauty patisserie in the vitrine! And the decoration so modern and vintage!Have a short menu and for me that is important cus give me the impression that everything will be fresh and good, because this ones should be the specialty of the place! But I have to said that the I felt disappointed with the taste of the food, something is missing! I will return to visit to try something else! Anyway the mood of the place I like it! Thank you very much for the nice words. We were so sorry to read that you were disappointed with the taste of the food as we place it on top of our priorities. My husband and I decided to visit this place after reading the T.A reviews. We came out the door of the apartment and it was directly opposite us. The two guys who work there were super friendly and nice. We had the BBQ burger and the Mexican. Both were perfectly cooked and delicious. We couldn't fit in desserts as we were too full but we saw the homemade desserts on display as we were leaving and they looked yummy. This restaurant is a little off the beaten track, but really only a couple of minutes past the market towards the Carrefour so it is easy to find. I would definitely go back there as it has the full package, great burgers and great guys working there.
