After reading a few reviews we went for it; on a Tuesday night at 8.30 we thought yeah no problem. Whoops!It was full, but we were asked to come back in one hour and sure enough a table was waiting. The service was great and the (only) person serving was happy to let us choose our red wine from several samples ! Thumbs up.We both went for the 7 hour lamb shanks with vegetable lasagne. An excellent choice and one to recommend if you are hungry. Afterwards it was all about the "Tarte de Maison" in this case a lemon meringue with extra ice cream. Beautiful, just book first.

The food and service were outstanding. They brought out little tiny sandwiches as an appetizer. Even though we didn't order soup, they brought everyone a creamy asparagus soup. Even our teenage boy really liked it. The cheese tray was superior. All in all a lovely evening with wonderful food and atmosphere.

We have seen this restaurant from the shore a lot over the years and the outside had always put us off - it doesn't look like fine dining.But last Saturday we decided that it might have some novelty value for visiting friends.Good choice.First a downside, they didn't seem to have enough staff so we had to wait a bit. But they gave us free champagne so we didn't mind really.The food is easily as good as a number of other fine dining restaurant in the town and they have the added bonus of great views of the river.It really is excellent and we will go again.

We were only in Besancon for one night and found Lucien on TA.The burgers were yum. The service was great. It's a nice place and good value. â¬23 for 2 burgers and fries. Well worth a visit.

This vegetarian restaurant isn't just for vegetarians! Really tasty food, a wide range of dishes on offer (soups, quiches, vegetable dishes, lasagne, salad...) and desserts too. By reservation only in evening, but open for drop-in diners at lunch time (all you can eat buffet for 12,90â¬, drinks and desserts extra - very reasonable) and take-away also offered. Self-service so no waiting to order, staff friendly and helpful. Great location on a quiet side street in the town centre.

It's a small, potentially cozy (provided that you're not next to the loo, as we were) place where you can have dinner France-Comté style. I would have given 4/5 if the waiter/owner(?) Pierrot had been a bit less grumpy and awkward.I had country paté for starters and Franch-Comté tortellini @18â¬, and it was good and plentiful. We had a decent bottle of Gaillac for 15â¬.

You must reserved in advance before eating here, it seems like they're always full.I ate here twice. First time was with my family, second time with my husband.Whatever you choose I think you want be disappointed. You can tell that their dish is fresh.First time I had lamb with squash sauce and rice with safran.Second time I had beef sauté (with 5 spices & thai basilic) and fried noodles with vegetables.I think they change their menu along with seasonal vegetables and availability.It is very convenient that they have an open kitchen, you can see the cook prepare your meal. It assures me that they are confident with their service. *thumbsup*The restaurant is small, I didn't recommend it if you have a huge backpack or a luggage with you.

The gentleman who served us was friendly, helpful and attentive. We ordered the fondue and suckling pig with lentils which were both fantastic. Excellent value, and the reasonably priced wine was very good. The atmosphere is stylish but casual. Highly recommended!

Pour un repas d'affaires, nous avons fait une découverte merveilleuse dans cet endroit où, l'accueil et service sont très chaleureux. Mireille (une des serveuses) nous a conseillée sur le choix des plats et des desserts, en fonction de nos goûts. Le service est rapide. Les plats dans les assiettes sont présentés épurés et sont de très hautes qualités. La fraicheur des plats est présente et le "fait maison" se distingue largement.
