We picked this restaurant on tripadvisor reviews but had quite a time working out what sort of food this place might serve. With a French name, Swiss owners, English and German menu we were very unsure of what ti expect.I ordered the chicken and egg soup - turned out to be Chinese chicken soup - delicious. Another of our group had the fried rice - excellent, another the mixed grill - huge plate of food with gravy and mashed potato on the side, also very good. The last person ordered the spaghetti with vegetables - that dish was probably the least appealing as there was enough spaghetti for 4 people and few vegetables.The place was empty when we arrived but gradually filled up over time. Service was typical Sri Lankan slow pace, but friendly and the meals a very pleasant surprise. If you are looking for something non Sri Lankan then this could be a good alternative.

Dolce vita is the place to hang out have coffee with homemade cakes fantastic ice cream and also some dishes as pizza pasta sandwishes rice and curry. The seabreeze makes u give that holiday feeling the owner is.kind clean and safe place to eat and drink.

Weâve visited this place in three families (11 people in total). Very kind & friendly staff who did all the best to fulfill our order (evening before we talked to manager in what weâre interested in). Not all was delivered ,cause lack of availability in Colomboâs fish market. What was cooked was very fresh & tasty: jumbo prawns, mussels, crabs, calamari, only tuna was a bit over grilled ). We can truly recommend this place for lovely evening with fresh sea food! Greetings from Team POLSKA!

The food at the Container Beach Restaurant was fantastic. I ordered two items from the vegan menu and was thoroughly impressed. The dishes were made with quality ingredients, packed full of flavor, and made with love. The father-daughter duo who run the restaurant are both very kind, genuine people. They patiently helped me get back to my accommodation even though it was well past their closing time. Recommend this place for the great food and people :)

Very cosy place with amazingly nice green plants and flowers. Well decorated. Never had such a perfectly baked, and prepared grilled steak. With French fries and mashed potatoes. The mixed vegetable salad was delicious. Excellent service. High quality chocolate ice cream. We would recommend anyone visiting this restaurant.

We had a very nice lunch here today. The food (veg sandwich and veg burger) was excellent. The Sri Lankan food is amazing but this was a very welcome change after six weeks here. We also enjoyed the fresh juices. Besides the quality of the food and drinks, we really liked the atmosphere of this place. Staff was super friendly and attentive and the interior was funky. It's also possible to do a bike tour via the cafe. We didn't have time for it but it sounded like a great way to discover Negombo.
