The food: I had a succulent mushroom soup (probably one of the best soups I've ever eaten) as a starter and pierogis for main course (my favorite was the cabbage pierogis). I also loved the apple-cinnamon pie for dessert. There's nothing to say, the food was just delicious!! The food is home-made.Service: the family-run staff is efficient and really nice! Location: the restaurant is quite well situated as it is in the City-Center and only 10 min walk from the train station. It is a little restaurant which gives it a cozy atmosphere. I went there with friends but the restaurant would also be a nice one to go to in family or even on a date.Little plus: during day-time they also have a little shop where you can buy typical polish ingredients.I'll definitely go back the next time I'll stay in Thionville.

This restaurant is one of a small number within the Geric shopping Centre in Thionville. My wife and I ate here for the first time for lunch on Tuesday 13th December 2011. They do serve more things than just Crepes and Galettes but for lunch we chose Galettes. The Savoyarde was â¬13.10 and the Montagne was â¬12.40. Both were superb. we drank a small Cider â¬3 and a small draft beer â¬3. A coffee was â¬1.60.The service, presentation and food were excellent. Our waitress Tatiana did a great job.We were seated at 12.00 without a reservation but by 12.15 the restaurant was full with people being turned away. We felt lucky to have a table. We will return.

Great little restaurant with a family feel! We booked a table in advance and I'm glad we did because ours was the only open table and we probably wouldn't have gotten in. The owner was very friendly although he didn't speak much English and my French is horrid. But he went out of his way to communicate with us and even phoned his son so he could translate. His son was also very friendly and helped me with the menu. My husband had the filet of beef with pepper sauce and he asked for it well done so I was a little worried but it was butterflied and cooked to perfection. I had the duck and it was also delicious! We both ordered dessert, my husband had vanilla ice cream with a chocolate sauce and I has the assortment of mini desserts. A perfect ending to our meal! And the bill was pretty reasonable (81 euro) considering we both also had a couple of drinks. I will definitely go back if I ever find myself in Metz again!

What a great find. We were staying at Domaine de Gondrange in nearby Havange (highly recommended if you're looking for a charming, quiet place), and upon realizing the remoteness of this place, were a little concerned we would find a decent restaurant. We need not have worried. We started with rillette de l'ocean which was wonderful; cod and mackerel with herbs, and this came with an eggplant spread and bread. The other starter, which sounded like Calabrese on the menu, turned out to be an interesting presentation of large tomato filled with a very special mozzarella ball made with truffle. All 3 mains were excellent, and desert, sweet rubarb with a light creme and red fruits, was delightful.Everything else: wine list, service, atmosphere, chairs, was as it should be.The restaurant was packed, on a Tuesday evening, so reservations are probably needed.

We called here on our way from Rotterdam to Dijon as it is just off the motorway in a small food court area of the centre commercial. The appeal was the offer of baked potatoes with a wide selection of fillings (as well as other choices). The service was quick , the food was hot and tasty and it was good value - what more could you wish for! In our book as a good stop for lunch on our travels.

A very, very focused kitchen.Intense tastes, very well prepared. We had a really nice evening, service efficient and humoruos.( hmm- my wife said: charming:).Entrees: combinations of meat and fois gras with a delicious small salad. Main course : spiced lamb in an envelope, potatoes with a Spiced pesto. Vegetables cooked precisely al dente.Somehow a fusion between The best of modern french kitchen with a touch af middle east and a chef who knows what he is doing!Wine recommendations from service perfect!!Good luck and thanks for a nice evening.

Ate lunch here my first day in the City. Was so impressed with the vegetarian salad that I came back for dinner the next night and ate it again. The salad had so much fresh variety - lettuce mix, avocado, hearts of palm, tomato, corn, artichoke - and was uniquely presented in a âshell.â First meal I had the local beer; second was a splendid wine from the Shengen region (Pinot Blanc). The service here was also quiet good. I would most definitely eat here again on a future visit.

For me in Thionville, probably the best restaurant if you are looking for a refined cuisine in a nice setting. Just astonished by how often cream appeared in most of the dishes;-) Was good though. Thanks for a really nice evening.
