This restaurant continues to deliver day after day, week after week, year after year. Hugely popular with the locals, the food is superb, the service impeccable and the ambience great. A friendly, fun place. Prices are good value and the formula at lunchtimes, attractive.

Excellent, Throroughly Recommended For A Special Occasion
If you are visiting the Vaucluse region of France -- e.g. Roussillon, Menerbes, Gordes, etc. -- don't miss the excellent restaurants in Goult, a smaller hilltop French town nearby. Goult is not a 'tourist village' but has some excellent restaurants. We enjoyed Le Bartaville on our last trip. Call ahead for reservations; this is popular spot for very good reasons! (We booked the last table in October, for example - well past the 'tourist' season.) The food was excellent. Let me say that again, "Excellent!" They were very friendly too, despite our limited French. The ambiance of the restaurant is perfect -- ancient stone arches with a warm atmosphere. In the summer they also have tables on the walk-street outside, under umbrellas. In short, La Bartavelle is definitely worth the drive from wherever you are staying in the Vaucluse. Park in the small Goult town square; La Bartavelle is a <5 minute walk. And call ahead for that reservation! Mark and Nadine Hays

We code the restaurant after reading the good reviews and werenât disappointed. We experienced a warm welcome and amazing service. The two ladies in charge were flexible in the ingredients of the dishes (allergies and things we dislike), the food was delicious, the atmosphere was lovely and all of this left us with great experience.

To find the restaurant is pretty confusing on a main busy road... The welcoming= 0! Poor tables, ornamented by cheap colors and general 'no taste'. We tryed to change table and this was refused to us as it was too difficult to move 2 forks spoons and glasses (I precise that the other tabes were not resrved). No effort to be kind with clients- the caricature of the French roaring-! With no regret we decided to pass our way and get to another closed restaurant not to be hostages of that trap

Cuisine raffinee et traditionnelle basee de produits frais, locaux et de saison
-Location: 4/5 (in the Menerbes old town, few seats available)-Menu: 3/5 (traditional dishes revisited and well presented)-Service: 2/5 (quite slow and unprofessional)-Price quality: 3/5 (average price quality ratio)I came alone for a Sunday lunch and had a chestnut soup with cream and lard as appetiser, beef hash as main dish, and tiramisu as dessert. Everything was tasty and well presented. Nevertheless, service can be improved by adding a professional waitress and having the owner caring more for public relations with clients. Moreover, I suggest to improve the location by adding more lights and removing all the soft drinks behind the counter. Finally, I suggest to introduce a better quality bread, as the current one is quite low quality and is not worthy of this restaurant.

Our final family dinner after a two-week vacation in France was delightful and delicious at Bistrot le 5. We were greeted warmly as we entered the patio and the waiters were professional with a good sense of humor. Our meals and wine were delicious and the view with a sunset was divine. We highly recommend and we will be back if we're in the area again.

This is a nice venue which deserves a good restaurant but has never had one. I think this has just changed hands so we'll see. The service is friendly and there is a smallish menu with enough choice for a casual meal. We chose pizza which were either good or disastrous depending on your selection. My wifes was awful, a pizza base smothered in way too much melted cheese, mine was similar, soggy cheese. Some of the others were ok, this was after we'd had a couple of their sharing platters to start which were fine.To be fair they did remove the untouched pizza from the bill without us asking. So it's great if you like cheese!!Dear dale curtisI regret your last experience about the cheese. We work hard to do the best pizzas. However, we can do mistake. We apologize. We hope to see You soon with us.

A perfect all round experience- setting (we were on the outside terrace at the back, but the interior loooked charming), service (polite and efficient), and food (exquisite flavours, textures and presentation.)What made it also was the fair prices for wine (by the glass, pichet and bottle) and the fact that the set menu (at â¬33) featured exactly the same dishes that were on the a la carte menu. Everything coming out of the kitchen looked amazing, but we were glad we opted for the fois gras (small surcharge), the onglet served with pesto and dauphinois potatoes followed by the lightest and booziest rum baba Iâve ever tasted!Wholeheartedly recommended.

On the shaded in summer or by the fireplace in winter terrace, come taste and refined Provencal cuisine. Our land of Provence is generous, it offers products rich in flavors and sun-drenched. Thus, the seasons our chef will pamper you propose with talent.
A pleasant small hotel with excellent restaurant in quiet countryside. We were attracted to this hotel by the nationwide Tous Au Restaurant offer as part of the Gastronomic weekend. The meal was very good and was served under the shade of of a large wisteria. An amuse bouche was followed by a tasty foire gras with sweet dark confiture de olive, a nice combination. The main was a delicious fillet of Dorade with girolle mushrooms followed by a complex dessert of chocolate and ice cream. Even though it was a special offer I thought the menu price at 45 euros was a bit on the high side for a normal meal. Service was friendly and cheerful.
