Hubby and I went here for dinner on Saturday night, we didn't have a table booked but the maitre d' enticed us in out of the cold and got us a table straight away, although the restaurant was almost full. We had salt & pepper calamari for an entree and garlic prawns for a main, a wine and beer. Service was excellent, the food was great and the price was exceptional. Our 18 year old son had recommended Neptunes and we were impressed and will definitely be back. :)

A special night- we love French cuisine and have no French restaurants in Newcastle. Very authentic French menu, delicious food, lovely friendly waitress, special visit by the chef, who put a birthday candle on our shared crepe and sang happy birthday for my wife's birthday. BYO with reasonable corkage by Sydney standards. The only negative was a strange smell my wife detected on entry - not a huge problem, but a little off putting!!

All I can say is WOW!!This venue boasts amazing views and gorgeous dinning area. We were upstairs for a christening and everything was delightful. The food was to die for! From the starters to desert weâre outstanding to the very pleasant wait staff. Thankyou for such a terrific experience!

I highly recommend Spago after trying this gem for the first time last night! The food was absolutely sensational and came out quite quickly after ordering. I had the burrata cheese entree and mushroom tortellini special for main. I couldn't fault it, other than that I needed to add a little salt to my entree as it was under-seasoned.Everyone at our table was really impressed with their food and the atmosphere and we will definitely be coming back again, well done!

Took my son and his partner, my wife and daughter after a friend recommended this restaurant. Had a bad experience at German restaurant in the City years ago. Rhinedorf was great, don't expect the buxom German waitresses but service was excellent. Four of us had the pork knuckle and daughter had schnitzel. All were amazed! I would have liked the cabbage rolls and the apple strudel but the size of the knuckle it would not be a good idea - next time.

Went to this restaurant earlier this month and loved it. Quintessentially French. Intimate atmosphere without being noisy. Great food and excellent wine list with a good range of wines by the glass. The amuse Boucher and complimentary mini dessert were nice touches. Service was attentive. We will be back!Calling us 'quintessentially French' is the best kind of compliment! Meeting friends for lunch halfway from the South Coast & Five Dock my wife stumbled on this terrific Italian restaurant.We were greeted like old friends & Dino & his staff wereterrific,the service first class.There was a real vibe in the restaurant & the food was varied & the pizzas done beautifully in the wood fired oven.
