We recently had lunch at this restaurant as we were in the area and had heard good reports about it. The view from the verandah across the spectacular Glass House Mountains is superb. The food was typical German fare and good (think pork, schnitzels, sauerkraut). My pork was a bit too salty for my taste. Plenty of German beer to choose from if you are a drinker. However the host was so rude to both staff and customers, we couldn't wait to get away and wouldn't go back. You felt most unwelcome as she was constantly berating her staff in front of customers for trivial reasons that we couldn't see - we thought they were doing well: unlike her they were friendly and helpful. On one occasion she ripped the notebook out of the waiter's hand while he was competently outlining the special options. We were left in limbo. It was all a bit Faulty Towers really. The food is expensive so you expect a totally wonderful experience. No I wouldn't go back, not good ambience there.

Have been here a few times now - our favourite restaurant on the Sunshine Coast for special occasions. Absolutely stunning food and impeccable service. Every plate of food is well thought out. Inventive ideas without taking away from the classic flavours. Can not fault this place. Worth every penny for the special outings.
