This was probably one of our best restaurant experiences ever.The kitchen combines high levels of creativity (including some surprise ingredients and tastes) with a perfect technical mastery and the whole supported by an attentive, friendly service, an extensive wine list and surroundings so oppulent that one half expects the President of France and his entire cabinet to walk in at any moment. Much to the consternation, and surprise, of the security personnel in the downstairs casino (which one needs to pass through to access the restaurant), the classy la Rotonde also welcomes (well behaved) dogs.We can hardly wait for our next visit. I am a native English speaker and fluent in French in which I've conducted business for 35 years.I could understand neither our trainees English nor his French.Only 2 courses were worth mentioning.Glassware was dirty.I absolutely do NOT recommend this restaurant. Dreadful, dreadfully expensive for value. Stay away until they have trained staff and then don't expect any miracles with the food.

We ate here on the first night of our trip to Lyon and had a really nice evening.The food was of a very high standard and everything we ate was delicious. The staff were welcoming, attentive and helpful despite being extremely busy.Very happy to recommend this restaurant in Lyon.

We arrived without a reservation at 20.00, crazy I know, but we were given a table inside and welcomed warmly never the less. All the waiting staff spoke very good English and all were delightfully charming and helpful. Menus which change monthly were offered in English or French and dishes explained before ordering and again when delivered. The menu is a limited table d'hote or a la carte with choice of 3 entrees, 4 mains and 3 deserts for 33 euro (optional cheese course 7 euro). There's also a 45 euro degustation menu as well. The wine list is quite varied and includes wines by the glass, caraffe as well as bottles catering for all budgets. Check their website for the current menu. My wife and I managed to get a table for the following night ... so reservations are definitely required. The food was superb, as was the recommended wine. The only suggestion I have is for the restaurant to offer a selection of âpotâ of wine as is common in many other restaurants in Lyon. The waiters were also outstanding in their helpfulness, attentiveness and friendliness.

I ordered cured meat tapas, I was served a pre-sliced, fridge-cold HUGE portion of meat. Obviously, the meat was stuck together and dry. The cheese tapas and the bread were good.As main I chose something from the specials board. Mushroom tagliatelle. I received a hideous dish of tagliatelle floating in some awful liquid (see pic).Very disappointed.Thank you for your message.We owe you an apologize for the meal. Weâre sorry you didnât like it. Our dedicated chefs bring special attention to the cooking process and the final presentation.See you soon to explore new culinary flavors.

a very friendly service and warm reception !! it's italian/french cooking (pasta, pizzas, meat, fish) .. we had tasty big pizzas at a very reasonable price + a salmon dish my friend liked very much. one item of our order was taken wrongly first, but was rapidly changed to satisfaction ! no whims, no questions asked. we were too full for dessert. the prices were very decent too ! i would definitely go again :)

Booked this fabulous restaurant for 8 people. From the very start they were fantastic about answering my emails. The food was amazing. Beautifully presented, tasted wonderful. The wine that they recommended was wonderful too. The service was excellent. Polite yet cheery with a smile. Nothing was too much trouble. I would highly recommend this restaurant for a romantic meal, meal with friends, or just a great place to have wonderful food. When I go back to Lyon as I loved this City I will return to this restaurant.

My husband and I were fortunate enough to book a table at Saisons restaurant for lunch . The whole experience was a delight, from the chateau, to the view of the garden, the wine, very attentive young staff and of course the food. At first we did not want to spoil the creative presentation however the aroma was too inviting . A special lunch that left our tastbuds dancing !
