Meounes - les- Montrieux is off the beaten tourist track.It is a very unpretentious village with a local feel and you would not expect to discover a restaurant of excellence.When you walk off the street into this little haven it is a total surprise.The ambience is intimate and the decor elegantYou only have admirationfor the owners - chef and patron - started from scratch two years ago and built it up to this level singlehandedly within a year.Why?The food is innovative and of the highest quality - the servings are generous and by no means fussyHowever the key to its success is the patron - she has personal skills like no other restaurant we have experienced - she is hands on works all the tables yet at the same time gives you undivided attention and makes all diners special.She has incredible situation awareness - she heard a fork drop from 10 metres away but before the table could request another she had already provided it. Alas the three course dinner menu is 28 Euro - hard to beat

Not everything on the menu was available but that didn't bother us. The meat from the grill was ordered medium but was too rare, but it tasted wonderful. So no biggie about the rare vs medium (I eat rare from time to time). The gambas were really tasteful and the rice was lovely. The kids dinner was more than good (nuggets with tasty french fries).Fast service and friendly staff. Poor English but that wasn't a hurdle.

Situated in the centre of the village this restaurant is now co-owned by the chef and 'maitre d'. Both have continued the excellent style that I and my wife have experienced in the past. I believe the chef has always been there. Walter (co-owner) has previously worked in Paris in the George 5th Hotel and his great command of English obviously stems from here. The food is all freshly cooked and the presentation etc. is a credit to the chef. The serving lady was pleasant and helpful and Walter's cocktails are a must to try. A little bit off the Tourist route for most, the village and the restaurant are well worth the deviation. Sollies is best described as a commuter village to Toulon. I am sure this 'Hidden Gem' will continue to produce excellent service and I wish Walter and his Chef and staff all the best for the future as I feel it is looking exceptionally well. If you are nearby give it a visit, you will not be disappointed.

We have used this Restaurant over a period of about four years and each time we have been more than satisfied which is why we keep going back !We went on the third of August as a party of eight which included two young children. It was a hot sunny day and we sat outside on the terrace. We had just finished the entree when the black rain clouds appeared. Within a few minutes there was a storm and the rain was very heavy. Everybody who was eating on the terrace area ran inside for shelter and the staff quickly found tables for them. We were quickly seated at a large round table and within five minutes everyone was seated and service restarted. We were all impressed with the professional manner that the staff coped with the problem.We had 5 menu Bastide @ â¬15.50, 1 menu Saison @ â¬26.5 and 2 menu enfant @ â¬9.50. Everyone was more than pleased with their choices. The wines are an acceptable price but our party consumed quite a lot and the wines which accounted for around 33% of our total bill of â¬216.00.The setting is pleasant with easy parking and the staff are friendly and helpful.You will not be disappointed if you visit this Restaurant.

We found this casual restaurant on TripAdvisor and as it was number 1 in this village of Sollies Pont, we decided to try it, we were not disappointed at all, reviews are authentic.The menu was only 19Euro for a 3 course, starting with an excellent foie gras, followed by a beautiful beef fillet with mushroom sauce and a degustation desert plate with coffee. The service was courteous in a nice ambiance.

We went to Kouros about five or six times in 2015. Being going there for years. The food is consistently good and really excellent value for money for three starters (served separately), a main dish and a dessert. two suggestions:1. chairs outside are not very comfortable for a long evening2. Every time it changes, put your menu on the internet please. Given that it is a fixed menu (which I like), I want to know BEFORE reserving what the menu will be. Will definitely come again
