This modern restaurant serves delicious local ingredients and food looks beautiful. We had the 5 courses menu including 2 courses of sea food (langoustine and homard), fresh fish (turbo), a delicious pre-desert made from buckwheat (including ice cream) and tasty desert with fraises de Plogastel. they do their own bread and five different types were served. Interesting choice of wines and ciders, including Cidre de chataigne. The plateau de fromages is impressive for the area where cheese is not so popular. View on la baie de Douarnenez is splendid on sunny days!

Returned a month later this time with my other son from London and his wife and again we had a super meal. My guests loved the place. I had one super crepe with foie gras wrapped in properly fatty duck bread- absolute heaven- with a proper salad not just a few token leaves. The follower was a crepe featuring local goats cheese and chutney. Ingredients are soundly sourced and explained. We had some great artisan cider. This place is without doubt the best creperie I have ever been to- and that's quite a few!

You can simply order their pizza (and we have, several times, mostly take-out), but this restaurant offers a great variety. They have a handy "formule" for lunch and dinner, where you can get a copious and tasty three course meal for 15 euros. This is a great addition to the restaurant fare in this area.

The staff here were wonderful when we visited for a birthday (from a recommendation from our campsite - La Pointe). They were very patient with our attempts to speak French! The food was delicious and the atmosphere friendly and relaxed - we would certainly return on our next visit!

We had a window table here on Friday night, the night of the annual funfair and firework display. The restaurant serves typical French food such as magret of duck, bavette of beef, seafood cassoulet etc.Between us we had moules frites, cod with a chorizo and crumb topping and magret. This was accompanied with a pichet each of red and white wine.For dessert we all had the cafe gourmand. A small espresso and a selection of 5 small,yet ample desserts, lightly salted chocolate mousse, raspberry panacotta, warm caramel apple, vanilla brulee and meringue.The service was excellent, as was the food. The style is towards the modern regarding presentation and the decor is light and clean.The kitchen is open plan so you can observe food being prepared.The bill for 5 of us was just over 100 euro, which I thought was excellent value for money.I would definitely recommend this restaurant. I have only given it 4 overall, simply because there didn't seem to be any allowance for vegetarian diners.Dear Peter, Thanks a lot for this marvelous comment about our restaurant. We recently spent a week in Chatealin, and had two evening meals at Les Cocottes - what a great experience. We love the fixed menus, and trying something different each time, all beautifully presented and served by our host. This super efficient chef serves up great meals and has time to chat too! We look forward to returning again to see what is on the menu!
