We were traveling with friends this week and needed to find a lunch spot. My wife used our GPS, searching for a non-chain restaurant. She randomly chose "The Lake Alfred Diner", and it was a wonderful find! They were very busy with the Saturday lunch crowd, but fit us in and served us in style!

We are frequent travelers and have eaten at Waffle House coast to coast. We live approximately 15 miles from this restaurant and passed several because I had a craving for scattered, covered, and smothered like only the Waffle House can provide. The restaurant was absolutely slammed; however, we were seated within 5 minutes and a server promptly took our order. The server was top notch; unfortunately, that was the only good thing about this place. The eggs and Waffle were mediocre, bacon terrible, toast limp, Coke, good. Waffle Houses are not Charley Steak Houses and I donât expect their food or ambience to be comparable; therefore, I rate them accordingly. This restaurant has ample parking, decent atmosphere and good location. I expected to enjoy food on par with other Waffle Houses, did NOT happen. This Waffle House has a Military discount and I added it to my servers tip. I do not recommend this Waffle House.

We passed by this place a few times and if not my friend I would never ever stop there cuz it just doesnât look like a great food spot. But let me tell you, how wrong I was! It is an amazing hole in the wall, that has such a nice home like atmosphere and food like your grandma just made it. Love it- thatâs all I can say! If you in the area, definitely go for it. Highly recommended. Always fresh and tasty food, no matter what you choose.

Back staying on 27 and this Diner is a great place to grab breakfast.Friendly staff and a with a great menu.The fully loaded omelette was one of the best Iâve ever had and with hash browns and pancakes now more food was required until dinner.The coffee was good and always topped up.Go eat here .

The breakfast is brilliant, lots of choices. My husband had the Santa Fe sizzlin' skillet. I had the pancakes with fresh fruit, bacon and eggs, both meals were delicious. We would highly recommend.

This is one of our favourites now under new management but nothing has changed apart from the management.and the name its now called the Davenport diner itâs still one of the best for breakfast everything you can want cooked as you want it the staff couldnât be more helpful and friendly this is one you must try.it is worth the extra 10 min to get there

We love IHop food! This restaurant is one of the newer modern ones. We ordered our usual favourite breakfasts. When they came out, the whole families food was luke warm apart from our pancakes. I presume the order had been waiting for the pancakes before it was taken out. We sent the entire meal back and it was recooked. It came back out to the high standard we usually get at IHop. The manager came out and apologised and we got the meal for free which more than made up for our inconvenence.

I have eaten here several times for breakfast which was well cooked and served without the grease. Breakfast is well prepared.Their liver is good, but not special. I also ordered their gyro once. The gyro was served on pita bread which was not typical for this sandwich. (I ate it without the bread.) Their sauce was ok but it did not include cucumbers or cucumber dressing as I have come to expect on a gyro sandwich. They provided their own dressing which was ok. The best thing about this restaurant is the atmosphere. Itâs a fifties style atmosphere with 50âs & 60âs music playing and everyone is extremely friendly.The prices are reasonable and the atmosphere is good so I will eat here again.
