We were so excited to try this restaurant. We ordered fried rice plain and chicken Pad Thai. How can any food come out so bland? I especially love Thai food from another restaurant in Ramsey and this canât even come close. No peanut flavor whatsoever. I can understand the bland fried rice because we asked for it plain. But doesnât the soy sauce help give at least a salty flavor? So disappointed and more disappointed in the high rating this place received. I guess some people donât care for quality and flavorful food!
While visiting Waldwick, NJ, family members suggested Hunan Gardens for take out dinner on a Monday night. Our phone in order was ready in 15 minutes, piping hot and delicious. In fact, it was so much better than I expected. It is a small take out only operation in a strip mall just south of Wyckoff Ave on Franklin Turnpike (across from the Waldwick Methodist Church). Service was excellent!A large variety of combo meals (that include pork fried rice and an egg-roll) run about $8. Alternately, you can order other dishes in various sizes. My Moo Shu Pork was absolutely perfect. You also have the option of changing the heat (spice) level of their "spicy" dishes. Portion size was very large. With dinner for 5 of us running right at $45, there is a return visit in the future. Well done, Hunan Gardens!

A group of 35 of us made a plan to eat here for lunch on Christmas. They have a nice private back room. We pre ordered a set menu. There was so much food. We started with chicken and corn soup. Then fried rice. Then spring rolls, scallion pancakes, and chicken. After that was bok choy, vegetables in garlic, beef and broccoli, vegetables with chicken, lo mein, and then fortune cookies and oranges. We were stuffed. The resaurant was packed.

Situated in historic town of Ridgewood, Truly Sichuan is ranked as the most authentic Szechuan/Sichuan Chinese restaurant in Bergen county or northern Jersey by many patrons. It is elegant, welcoming, and, is a top choice for your special occasions or jus
The food was just ok.The good news is that the entree portion of the menu is decidedly different and reads more interesting than other restaurants of this nature. It just didnât deliver. It lacked punch. It was mediocre at best. The apps were all pedestrian. And, the service was terrible, and the place was empty. Go figure.
