We had heard about this restaurant from a friend in Duncan who is from Taiwan, as we travelled to Port Alberni we decided to have dinner there, it was delicious, I think the best Thai food I have had outside of Thailand. The service was very good as was the ambiance. Highly recommend it

I have eaten here once before a few years ago and reviewed it favourably. Unfortunately, today's lunch will be my last visit. The dumplings were deep fried so more tough and shrunken than the traditional steaming and pan frying. The featured squid dish was extremely over salty and the batter hard as if it had been oven-held. My husband's prawn dish was better though not exciting for $21 with rice. I had to ask for chopsticks and there were only flat plates put out, not bowls which offer more authentic and easier eating if not using a fork. Paying the bill, I noticed we were charged for the green tea, a first in any Chinese restaurant I've visited. We were the only ones there on a Friday lunchtime. I now know why.

Family says best chinese in Port Alberni. We ordered 6 take - away dishes. Excellent tasting and good flavour variation. Every item as ordered, did not disappoint. Friendly service. Cash discount on take-away.

Absolutely the worst restaurant ever. The person who answered the phone had the worst manners, couldn't understand english and couldn't speak it either. I was told 1/2 hour for my pick up order the waitress completely ignored me, then the second waitress told it wasn't even started. The lady ahead of me told me she had been waiting 1hr and 15min. I cancelled my order and walked out.We are so sorry for your experience at golden dragon. Obviously the kitchen was extremely busy and you have been told that on the phone. Our sincere apologies. If you send us your name and address we will try and make this up to you. We totally dropped the ball and again we are extremely sorry. The management
