Things to do in Dominica
Ten of us were looking for dinner on a Sunday night in Roseau, Dominica, and a local said the only place open was a nearby Chinese restaurant, so we found it and went in. Very simple, two square tables, and one big round one with a Lazy Susan in the middle, perfect for our group of ten. We sat down, ordered beers and soft drinks and food from a simple menu, and ate and drank and ate and drank and had a wonderful meal and time, and the total bill including service was $16 each. We left $20 each, happily. We met the cook (one young woman) on the way out. We WILL return if we get back to Roseau. Delightful.

By far my favorite lunch spot in Picard, just 5 minutes from Portsmouth. Tasty, fresh and reasonable. A real family run place with mom cooking and son and daughter-in-law serving. As a Vancouverite, I know good Chinese food and the Hong Kong has that, authentic and delicious! Lunch special is very reasonable and filling, and all the dishes are well seasoned. Real tasty eats!
We needed a quick bite during our stay at Portsmouth Beach Cottages; we were happy to find a place open late on a Sunday evening, which is why we chose Hong Kong. It was pretty run of the mill Chinese - not great, not bad. I enjoyed the wonton soup but the beef and broccoli was pretty gravy-like, which i did not care for.Very nice service and takes credit cards. a plus!

A shop assistant recommended Chinatown, I would not.It is interesting to sit on the terrace watching the world go by beneath you and it is very cheapI had a "hot" chicken and the flavour was really good, however the "chicken" consisted primarily of skin, fat and bone. Yes it was cheap but I would rather have paid more for meat instead of scrapsWorth noting that they do not take credit cards
