We stayed in Grand hotel Kronenhof. This is the best restaurant in this hotel for dinner if u are looking for a place for fine dinning . Food is excellent ! The pressed duck was not as good as I had in Paris . But itâs much cheaper here , but I am not gonna complain . I like the second way of the duck better than the first way . The second way: they cook the sauce with orange and itâs taste better . Not as salty as the first one. The duck is well prepared and crispy outside and tender inside. Please make sure u make reservation before . Itâs full house The restaurant is too busy so , itâs slower than normal fine dinning in New York or other big cities . We end up spend almost 2 hrs for that meal after we rushed them many times ( my daughter was very sleepy ) . I understand the ordering press duck takes time . But I think desert can be faster . This hotel offers a kid club : which kid can has free ice cream but I found that most of the restaurant staffs donât know . They charged ice cream in the bill even my daughter showed them the kid club bangle before ordering. So , check your bill if u going to order ice cream for your kid .We are happy for the meal and would come back again in the future.

We visited the restaurant with 5 adults and 2 kids - the table was reserved for 7 pm.We ordered different local dishes and received very good quality of food - unfortunately we received a very bad customer service attitude by the âChef de Serviceâ . Short after finishing our food while we were still drinking our drinks we were asked to order more otherwise we should leave the table very soon. All of us were surprised about the attitude as we would not expect this by SWISS Hospitality standards.We would recommend the restaurant for the quality of food but would not recommend the approach and attitude for customer service and customer loyalty.Thank you very much for your review!We are very glad to read that you have had a wonderful stay at the Pitschna Scena. A highly motivated team of 7 employees are giving every day their best performance to satisfy the needs of our guests. We had our annual "house" diner at this "modern" decorated restaurant. We were served with utmost attention to details the quality of the dishes were very good, large salads, two servings of the Sole dish. We enjoyed our dinner and can recommend this restaurant for your next visit

Without any booking in the late ski season the place is almost full but Iâve got a seat in 5 mns, ordered quickly and served very fast! Very good beef, and taste their wine - pretty good.Nice wood and stones decoration- high standard finishes, like all Swiss knows how to do !Definitely do not hesitate if itâs opened!

We chose this restaurant for our last night in the Engadine region. Though we usually look at reviews, we chose it solely because of the beautiful views and proximity to our hotel in Pontresina. It was one of our favorite restaurants of all times! We started with a drink in the terrace outside at sunset. Truly magnificent. Our dinner was also delicious. All of the dishes tasted very fresh and flavorful without relying on heavy sauce. Our waiter was professional, yet personable and pleasant. Definitely recommend!

we had some friends over last night and they are 'Alpin Chic' lovers. we therefore made a reservation @ Piste 21.The service was great as we asked the waitress Orsola, the speak only in italian to our german friend, ehich she did the entire time (goid fun). The meals were harty and excellent quality! Mr Schrämli's concept is working although its a bit off the beaten track;)

we reserved this restaurant for a 70-yr birthday dinner celebration for 8 people because it was 1)near where we were staying(madulain) (2)it was one of the few still open for the off-season (3) it had,according to their internet site,a bigger choice in their menu card compared to the other restaurants open.we found when we got there a limited list in their menu card & was told that was all they have.the food was good -we ordered meat,fish,vegetarian,& they all tasted great even for a simple schnitzel for the kids.the only "but" is,their portions,they were really tiny(except for the schnitzel) for those prices.the service was also excellent,the same goes for their wine card.the ambiance was not to our liking(animal bones hanging over our heads),but understandably typical of the region & the room where we were ushered into.we had more or less privacy with 2 only other couples dining in the same room.they were nice enough to offer something - a dessert cum apéro wine for our group in honor of the birthday celebrant.i would still recommend it to friends, but warn them of the portions.

Very well run restaurant. Choice and quality of food, and presentation are outstanding! Prices are very fair for be quality I the house. Lovely garden in the summer, 3 old 'Stuvas' in the winter, which gives a lot of privacy to diner. Highly recommended!

1. Quatterlains, Hotel Castell

The Castell hotel is a large structure against the mountains of the lovely Engadine. It looks like a Castle (hence the name) and although its appearance isn't what you'd call lovely, it is impressive. The terrace has a great sun exposure and fantastic views. I didn't care very much for most of the other guests, however. They weren't of the kind and social species. But don't let this deter you from your visit here. If you are here outside the tourist season (or at least, not during Christmas break), it won't be very crowded and the service by the owner and his wife will be very good and friendly.The lunch menu is not very big, but there is probably something for everybody on it. I had the hamburger and I must say that it was one of the best patties I have ever had. The meat was delicious and ground in a perfect way. Every bite was a pleasure. Seasoning exactly right, not too intrusive. A very pleasurable experience and I hope to be back in summer to enjoy the terrace, service and food.
